BROWNS OFF-SEASON 2020

Do Not Sell My Personal Information

I hope they did get back to the traditional look. The new Jersey’s were shit.

Interesting, if we decide to go OL instead of Isaiah Simmons in the 1st then we should be all over this guy.
The expected cap for 2020 is $199 million.

We already have $182 million in cap liabilities, and here is the list of our own free agents:

We still have some rollover to play with (approximately 34 million), but Dorsey blew through our wad really quickly. I don't think we're going to be buying any top tier free agents this off season.

I mean with the rollover we have 52M in cap space. Cut Kirksey, Hubbard, and Carrie and that shoots up to about 70M in room.

We have plenty so that we can sign some good players and still have another 20-30M in rollover towards next years cap.

I’d also target Vernon(no current guaranteed money) and Bitonio(legacy/lifer) for restructures that could shave off more money to play with, it it’s strategically useful and doesnt have long term negative ramifications

If Vernon won't restructure they should just cut him. Don't know if it was scheme or what, but he was brought in to be a pass-rusher last year and did a pretty poor job of it. Can't afford to pay a guy $15 mill with that kind of production. Might just be best for both sides to part ways.

I thought he played well in the healthy games he played prior to Myles suspension. It's not all about sacks only. In addition, his deal is up after this year. Unless you have so many legit guys lined up and committed so sign in FA that you need more than the 60-70M in space they'll have already, no need to kick him to the curb. I think for both sides it could be mutually beneficial to a restructured deal. But if not, I don't believe you have to cut him.

I'll be happy if they take "Cleveland" off the front of the jersey and "Browns" off the pant leg. So stupid looking.

I got used to the "Cleveland" but I'm all for bringing the classic Browns look back. At best something like the Vikes where it's the classic colors and a slightly different typeface. But numbers, the colors and a plain helmet. I think change in this regard is good, since people can associate those uniforms with inflated expectations and everything going awry much more easily.

Luckily most of these guys are garbage. Higgins, Randall, Hunt seem like obvious keepers to me. Scho would be nice to keep around if the price is right. RSJ proved to be capable as well but seems redundant depending on what we do with Njoku.

If the next coach plans to play to Mayfield's strengths, keeping some TE's arounds with hands is important.

Gonna guess that Randall is gone unless he decides to return for pennies.
