BROWNS OFF-SEASON 2020

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Personally I think it would be dumb to let Hunt go. Minimal sample size (8 games), but:

- He averaged 4.2yds/carry
- He was our 3RD highest receiving player by yards AND receptions (behind OBJ/Jarv)
- He is dirt cheap for the chance of having another dynamic weapon on offense ($3.2M)

And honestly, (actually just knocked on wood) but if anything happened to Chubb for a # of games or an extended period of time, Hunt is a great RB to fill his shoes.

Another note: Do we think the jerseys will be revealed during one of these Building the Browns?

There's no reason to let Hunt go unless he really fucks up personally. Guy is incredibly talented and still pretty cheap.

It would depend on the return IMO.

If the Browns can get a top 75 pick for Hunt which they can use to address a bigger weak spot like edge or interior DL or safety, they should do it.

They can draft a kid in the 4th or 5th and get similar impact that they’re going to get from Hunt considering it’s a complimentary role.

Still feels risky to me. I know we’ve been fortunate with Chubb’s durability to date but it’s always good to have depth at RB regardless. It’s not like we are talking about a great 2nd punch here. Hunts been a top 5 guy at the position since entering the league.

I'm in the keep Hunt camp, at last until the trade deadline. As @CBBI said, if you get a good offer of a 2nd rounder, a starter on the DL, or a starting safety then I think you have to make the trade.

Barring something catastrophic happening to Chubb, I'm not sure how we can justify resigning Hunt at the end of the year. With Chubb and Baker coming up on extensions, the signing of Hooper, OBJ, and Landry we're about to have a TON on money committed to the skill positions in the coming years.

Cuts will have to happen somewhere, and I'd have think Hunt would be one of the first. If he has the type of year I believe he will and he stays out of trouble, someone is going to throw a lot of money at him.

Really wish the Browns could have fleeced the Texans for something if they're ultimately just gonna move Hunt anyways.

Had seen a few mentions connecting Harris to the Browns early in FA, but I think once they were able to get Billings, that went out the window.

I'd probably rather have Harris, but Billings was desperately needed on this line. Ogunjobi's body has shifted towards more of a 3T and Billings is one of the better NT's in the NFL, a rising player.

Still kind of stunned they got Billings for so cheap.
