If ratified, this would incentivize teams to hire minority head coaches with a six-spot jump from their slotted third-round pick. Meanwhile, a team hiring a minority GM would move up ten spots. A team that does both would move up 16 spots in the third, potentially allowing an early third-round pick to turn into a mid-second-rounder
.

Jfc is this for real?

Why are Browns fans complaining about this? This team stands to improve their 3rd round pick every year at the rate they hire/fire coaches and GMs.
Why you ask? How about eternal hope the team has finally gotten it right and will not be in a position to move up its draft pick via this manner for many years to come...

Grigson is in the top 10 of worst NFL GMs in the last decade. What he did to the Colts was criminal.

I've made this exact point before, but it all boils down to how much you believe in the Peter Principle when evaluating what a guy like Grigson can do for the Browns in 2020, right?

He was a total failure as a general manager, but he was successful enough as a director of college scouting and director of player personnel to get hired to be a general manager in the first place.

If he's going to be tasked to do something from a scouting or personnel perspective that is within his proven capabilities and not beyond, that's acceptable right?

Not really much different than really good coordinators who aren't cut out to be head coaches.

Edit: @The Human Q-Tip got me by seconds.

Kokinis got busted for masturbating to a “Black Tail” magazine right?

The entire Colts organization, until just recently under Ballard, has been terrible at assessing and acquiring talent. They just so happened to suck in the same year that generational QB prospects have been the overwhelmingly correct 1st overall pick.
