BROWNS OFF-SEASON 2020

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I like this concept.

Have to score them out on the latter picks too though. If they get three pro Bowlers all out of round 4 and a bunch of great depth 4-5 year after year but suck 1-3 we cant punish them. They still had success.

A metric system could easily be created grading every draft and they have to hit average point totals for all rounds, maybe using PFF or something similar.

If the fans experience success in a draft, the FO is given the option to continue using fan votes as long as it wishes. Front offices would love it I’m sure.

If a Browns draft was at risk of getting hacked by the Steelers for example, it would be like pilots flying a plane. There in case of emergency. Maybe the front office could work with some kind of cybersecurity firm to determine the actual will of the fans.

If it appears there’s some weird activity pushing a Punter rd 1 but real activity suggests a close choice between two WRs, the front office would be given a tight berth to select the top WR and overrule the Punter pick.
An idea: To avoid stuffing of the ballot box or rival fan groups from rigging the selection being made, the fan choice is limited to the Best 10 available per Mel's Big Board...

If the Browns were legitimately offering that, Clowney would have signed six weeks ago.

I have a feeling it's much less than that.

Agree, only way is if the 3rd year (i.e. the first year of Myles' new deal) has zero or close to zero guarantees.

Yeah, my guess is we're offering multiple years at 14-15 million per.

Something like 4 years, 62 million with 35 million guaranteed.

He wants 20, but might accept 17-18. Problem is - we don't know his health, so that lowers his value. And Covid-19 may have some adverse effects on salary, which could lower the market value across the board. I wonder if it would be smarter for players to cash in now while they can.

Its amazing how much weight he has lost and how good of shape he is in 3 years out of the league.

Would be interesting to know what he lost in terms of lean muscle vs body fat. He wasn’t chunky by any means before and long term carrying that much muscle mass just isn’t food for the joints.

I have a cousin who played nose tackle for OSU in the early 90’s. He was pretty damn good and might have been able to at least get on a practice squad bust chose to preserve his hands and become a surgeon (probably the better move). Anyway, he was pretty big in college and trimmed down in a fashion similar to Joe.

Surprised you don’t see more lineman do it, but I suppose most are probably burnt out by the end of their career and just stop working out.
