Shelton's in; Verba wants out!

The Browns on Friday agreed to terms on a one-year deal with former Cardinals offensive tackle L.J. Shelton and Ross Verba responded by asking the Browns to cut him.

I was gonna post this last night, but Im too lazy.

Its only a one year deal, so we are trying to bully Verba and really Verbs has no choice. He can either play or not get paid.

Its an above-average line if Verba is willing to play. If not, its still an average line with the absolute necessity to pick a LT next year in the draft.

Regardless of Verba, Shelton is a great signing at this point in the offseason. He's not an all pro but is a proven starting LT which aren't easy to come by. His play slipped last season from injury and getting stuck in Dennis Green's doghouse.
I give the Browns credit for going and making this move.
