Browns trade McCourty to Pats

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Did he ever play for them?

I know he played in Indy, and now Seattle.
I had to look it up, but yeah. He played 16 games for NE in 2016, and tallied a whopping 9 tackles.

So that makes 3 players the Browns picked early in the draft, who've gone to New England in the past 3 years.

..Thus making a joke about the Browns resembling a farm system for New England, to be, worthy.

Now go give raiders91sc the credit he deserves for pointing that out. ;)

Sheard has had a pretty good career. Another guy who couldn't fit.

I thought Dion Lewis was traded there also but we released him.

Mingo had 9 tackles there!! Feels like 9 more then he had with the Browns.

To me, this move screams that we're looking to pick a DB high in the draft. McCourty is a good player. Or at least, "good" in comparison with what else we have for cornerbacks. He certainly would have been in the top 3. So if we're doing a veteran like him a solid and sending him to another team essentially for nothing, it must be because we really thought there wasn't much of a chance for him on the roster. And looking at the roster right now...that ain't true.

So I'm thinking the Fitzpatrick/Ward theory just got a big boost.
