So I was thinking, if you could take the best Buckeye players and made one team what it would look like...

well heres mine, who do you think is better and who am I missing...

OFFENSE

QB) Troy Smith: he can do it all, he can throw with the best of them and can run. After this year he probably will have a title.

RB) Eddie George/Archie Griffith: 3 Heismans between the two.

WR) David Boston/Joey Galloway/Chris Cater: I got to put all three on here. They were all just amazing college players

TE) Ricky Dudley: Cant say we have had anything special here but Dudley was a pretty good tight end.

C) LeCharles Bentley: I want to say he missed the title year but not sure. He was a player I wanted the Browns to draft, well that didnt happen.

LG/RG) Not sure on this one style what you got???

LT) Orlando Pace: I think he had like 70 pancakes in one year and got consideration for the Heisman.

RT) Not sure on this one style what you got???

DEFENSE

DT) Bid Dady Wilkenson/?: He sucked in the pros but a mountain/monster on the d-line.

DE) Will Smith/?: I cant think of anyone else, but there has got to be more.

LB) Katz/Spielman/Hawk: Dear Lord is that group of suds. It cant get any better than that.

DB) Shaun Springs/Winfield/Celments/Gamble/Doss

K) Nugent: nuff said.

I thought this would be kinda fun, guess not. :bigcry:

You're forgetting a ton of old school guys like Jack Tatum, Paul Warfield (11th overall pick by the Browns and HOFer), Lou Groza (another Browns HOFer), and many more. For the line, Korey Stringer is your RT and Jim Parker absolutely has to have one of the guard spots.

A new school guy you forgot was Terry Glenn. He didn't have the overall college careers that either of the three you mentioned had (or Warfield or even Jenkins), but he had the best single season I've ever seen at the WR position at Ohio State, or just about anywhere for that matter. You just could not cover that guy in 95 when he won the Fred Biletnikoff Award as the nation's top wide receiver. He was a amazing.

You also forgot the coach. As good as JT is, how can you not go Paul Brown? He won a couple state titles with the Massilon tigers. Then went to OSU and won the nattie his second year there. Then formed the Browns and won like a million championships in a row in the AAFC, and then several more in the NFL when they moved there. Then formed the Bengals and won a Super Bowl there in just a couple years. Remember, the Bengals didn't tank until after he died. I had almost a religious experience when I came upon Brown's bust in the Hall of Fame. It almost brought me to tears.

Here's a list of Buckeyes in the College, Rose Bowl, and Pro Football Hall of Fames: http://ohiostatebuckeyes.cstv.com/sports/m-footbl/archive/osu-m-footbl-hallfame.html

you forgot Mo Clarrett, he did what george couldnt do and got you a "National Champioship"

Good call on Paul Warfield, remember reading about him and Brown in the book "when all was Browns town"

Terry Glenn was a burner.

Those three linebackers are just silly.
