Cameron Payne

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
As a SW MO resident, the Thunder are my primary team; I've followed them closely ever since the move in 2008. So here are my thoughts on Payne: I believed he had some potential in his rookie year with OKC. He dropped off considerably after that for reasons I'm not certain about. But before he nearly disappeared from the league, I thought he initially showed signs of bringing up the ball well, being alert, and having competent backup point guard skills. This is probably his last NBA shot to do anything, so he's got to be especially motivated now. Good to see him put up some points in his first game here. He nonetheless won't be the Cavs' worst player in recent seasons: I still think that goes to Jared Cunningham. :D

I see your Jared Cunningham and raise you this guy

Have his injuries been his biggest problem like Fred said? He seems to have something. His 3 ot percentage is like 27 percent but his shot looks better than that.

I guess we will have to see how he plays badly when he calls down. Had an ok there good game and seems to play well with Delly and JC. JC benefits so much from a phone to keep him from too much dribbling.

Thought CP3 (LOL! Couldn’t resist) played well for us considering, it does open a roster spot and has financial implications to not sign him. I mean really, what could this guy do for a 9 win team? He doesn’t have to drive a self-driving tank with GPS fixed towards the Barclay’s Center arriving June 20th. Wish him well and he becomes the next Quinn Cook. He was a good soldier.

I didn't expect him to be signed because of timing of his 10 day contracts and the trade deadline. I wouldn't be surprised if they signed him after the trade deadline though.

I think the front office has one roster spot ear marked for Blossomgame since he must be getting close to his 45 NBA days.
