Car Advice

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
It depends.

As the spouse she is the successor to his interest in the vehicle and on the hook for the loan because a married couple's finances are generally communal property. Because she continued to make payments it can be argued that she is a party to the loan.

In that case, GM can make a claim against the estate to payoff the loan or repo the car.

I think you can negotiate with them though:

1) You can assume the loan and make payments and keep the car.
2) Return the car and the loan is cleared.

Did you read the part where he doesnt want the car, so why bother to have them repo the car when he can just call them and tell them to take it.

People die owing on cars all the time, happened with my Grandma. Call them up, see if they want you to drive it somewhere or have someone just pick it up.

Yeah, I did.

I was giving him a broader context in the event GM wants to be shitty about it, or if he changes his mind, or if another relative wants the car.

Thanks though for the dickish response!

Didnt mean to be dickish, you are usually spot on, and looked like you missed he doesnt want the car.

If he wants it, he will have to most likely refi unless the loan holder is willing to have them assume the loan, which is not likely.

I haven't had a chance to yet. It's been a pain just to find the new cars to test drive. It looks really nice and the price actually isn't bad at all...

Having issues popping back in my headlight, can’t get it to clip and it’s leaving a gap.

Any suggestions? 2014 Elantra, passenger headlight.

If it's not clipping in, you don't have it in the right position. YouTube it.

I watched some Russian dude do the drivers side headlight. Are you getting that bottom clip pushed in? I'm guessing that's your problem.
I can’t get the headlight low enough to clip in either of the tabs. They made it seem like it slid right in.

Watched another video. Get the top clip closest to the fender in place first. Lifting up on that front plastic should allow you to wiggle that back into place on the bumper. Then it's just pushing it back in to get the clips to take.
