Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Tesla folks are gonna be into Tesla products.

For people who actually want something that looks like a truck, you'd have to expect Rivian to be much higher on their list now.

I guess if you don't consider the price/capability

Unbreakable glass blunder aside, what do you guys think of the Tesla truck design?
It's hideous. It looks like the pine car derby entry of the Boy Scout kid from your pack with the alcoholic dad so he had to make it himself the night before with a rusty hacksaw he found in the garage and the one can of spray paint his older brother hadn't huffed yet. It looks like Tesla's answer to the Pontiac Aztek. What the fuck are they thinking? Is Musk punking his company's fan base? Is he trying to prove they will defend and buy anything they do? Because that is one fucking ugly car-truck. I was really intrigued by their truck idea, for no other reason than the benefits to towing an electric motor should have- but i can't buy that.

For what it's worth, I wound up with a 2016, RAV4 Hybrid, Limited .. it's a fantastic car

I keep looking at it to try to come up what they were thinking. I think they started with the side profile of it and wanted it to look like a futuristic trophy truck. I think after that it went off the rails. Either they got so locked in on that side profile that they couldn't come up with how make the other sides or the specs they wanted drove design compromises.

The one thing I'll be interested in is how much the range changes when towing different amounts.

Ok so serious car question. The lady and I have similar vehicles. We bought them before we knew each other and we've noticed on some recent trips that we both want something a bit bigger as we both have compact/small sedans and both of our cars are a bit older now. We'd likely trade in her car as I have no issues keeping mine til the wheels fall off and mine's in better shape.

She really wants a Crosstrek. Anyone have experience with this car?

146 thousand Cybertruck orders in less than 48 hours

146,000 dipshits out there, I guess.

See my chart above, the truck is $30k cheaper than it's rival EV truck (Rivian) yet has more range, a larger truck bed, and is faster charging.

It is quite capable, but, it looks like a door stop.

What happened in the design phase?

People afraid to tell Elon no?

Some are speculating that they had to have all these straight lines to reduce production cost so it's more affordable.

I think the basic side profile could have made for a real cool truck if they were able to round everything off so every other profiles weren't so angular

The bed cover is actually a really cool design feature.

I also saw some concerns about crumple zones and how strong the roof will be in a rollover.

Model S roof is so strong it broke the testing machine. I'm sure the Cybertruck roof is at least as strong as that.

And yes, it's becoming clear that the design helped them slash production costs. And their SpaceX stainless steel alloy both increases strength and cut costs since they don't have to paint it to make it last.

I support electric cars, I want a zero motorcycle. But...
That truck is so ugly it makes me want to puke looking at it.

Does it have adaptive suspension and a terrain response system?

It has promise as a zombie apocalypse light armored vehicle.
