Caris LeVert: Drunken Kung Fu

Do Not Sell My Personal Information

Is LeVert back in 2023-24?

  • Cavs can't afford the $$$ to keep him and nothing is going to change that

  • After bricking shot after shot in the playoffs, Koby washes his hand and lets LeVert walk

  • Only if he signs for something close to the MLE

  • If Caris plays well in the playoffs, the Cavs will offer big $$$ to keep him

  • KobyAltman! No one else on the team fills his role, so stop sitting on your hands!

WTF does JBB need to see to understand a player is just not having a good night? What good does a deep rotation do when the HC doesn't utilize it to find the hot hand and give the cold hand a rest? This should NOT be difficult, but once again JBB seems clueless.

Minutes all scripted out ahead of time. That way you don’t need any in game adjustments! ‍♂️

Not that you don't have a point, but the argument against him last year is everyone got too short a leash and no one developed or played confidently as a result

He just doesn't trust Porter, who has struggled. I would have died with Merrill.

I'm fine with him continue to play LeVert in the regular season like this. He's a guy he's had in the closing lineup for a long time and a bad couple of games shouldn't change that.

But I've talked about, at length, how the team is gonna need to decide this summer at the latest who they'd rather have. Okoro or LeVert. And I'm pretty sure a return for LeVert would have been better at the deadline than it will be this summer, if not only marginally.

But at this point the decision is getting easier to make. It's going to be Okoro. Especially if they are determined to make Mitchell/Garland work.

Balled his ass off.

Sigh of relief every time he got the ball over Garland down the stretch.
I sadly agree. I hate LeVert's style of play, but he's good at what he does and he can be effective doing it against certain match-ups. Unlike Garland Caris wastes no time in initiating the attack so at least if he gets stymied there is still time to reset and go to a secondary attack or just move the ball around until there's an open shot.

I had the thought last night that LeVert may be developing into a pg as he approaches 30.
