True. But we also need scoring. Without Garland this offense is shaky… Whether it’s injury, foul trouble, or filling in when Garland sits it would be really nice to run offense though someone that isn’t Goodwin or Love…

They’ve done a nice job but it’s not a consistent recipe for success… There’s potentially some of these nights when we look up and LeVert has, 25, 27, 34 pts etc….

Would be real nice to have the Cavs getting back to blowing teams out like they were doing before the Rubio injury…

And getting off a $19M obligation next summer when they need to re-sign TJ Warren (who's an objectively better player than LeVert). But that Rocket's 2nd is good enough to attach to the Cavs first and move up.

I don't think I care too much either way. It's marginal depending how you look at it.

What I do think is that the Cavs only needed reinforcement for this year. I don't think giving up so many picks is wise in that regard.

Hmmm. I actually prefer that we got someone who is not just a rental and can have a massive effect in multiple playoff runs. And then whose Bird Rights we have moving forward for his next free agency.

We still get another developmental pick in this draft(Mobley’s twin?, Champagnie, Liddell, etc) and LeVert is entering his prime and can be here for 5-6 quality prime years if it all works out.

I understand I am presenting best case scenario though and not every jig always works out as intended. We’ll see what happens but I’m pretty excited.
