If Caris was the piece identified by the Cavs as the one which we needed , then I don’t think it was. Anything less and he’d be joining another team; and then you’d be complaining that the Cavs sat on their hands. He’s 6’6”, he joins up with JA again (and I’m certain the Cavs had conversations with JA about Caris), and we obtained the services of probably the best available package of scoring, shooting and youth which fits our timeline nicely
Sexton's gone man. The Cavs will say the right things so it's not quite so obvious that they're distressed sellers, but they do the same things and the Cavs aren't paying both of them. LeVert really struggles at the 3.I think Koby wanted a player with that adds flexibility to lineups. LeVert being able to handle the ball and play SF allows them to play Sexton and Okoro on defense in spots that their size isn't an issue. Sexton can guard PGs and Okoro can guard SGs while we also keep another ball handler on the floor in LeVert.
I'm assuming Indiana preferred picks over scrubs and an injured soon to be rfa in Sexton. So we chose Sexton and Windler ( and Pangos I suppose) over this year's picks..
It would have been, not sure why the Cavs weren't in on that deal.I'm pretty shocked so many people love this trade.
Wouldn't it have been better to hop on the Norman Powell/Convington trade instead?

FactsSort of agree - though maybe a harder trade to make work? Would have to be something like Rubio + Osman + Pangos + 1st round pick + 2nd round pick to keep us under the cap?
Then you are also locked into Powell for 5 years and he is already older -- and a worse defender.
Iv been keeping up with pacers games and the dude is a playmaker he’s what we needPeople see his stats and think he is good. Clearly not many have watched him play.
