Game Notes

* Denver are without Keith Van Horn and Adrian Griffin. Reserve guard, Devin Harris is also in doubt.

* Both teams are coming off losses so hunger is not an issue.

* Diop the imposter starts against the Cavaliers over the underachieving Erick Dampier.

* Dallas are locked in first place with San Antonio, whilst the Cavs are less then convincingly holding onto the 4th seed.

Karma's Keys

* Very obvious tonight. Just keep on feeding it into Ilgauskas. Diop will get a block or two, but that will be saturated by schoolings dished out by the Lithuanian. If Z doesn't get the ball inside every trip, Brown has issues.

* Dallas are thin up front with little depth after Dampier. Dirk will play big minutes so will avoid foul trouble. Some easy offense can be had on him.

* Flip Murray and Snow have struggled this past two losses. Need some consistency with the guard play to keep within 20 points of this squad.

* Bench play is key again. Dallas will be sparked by Dampier and Stackhouse, but with Harris and Van Horn out, their depth isn't as strong. Howard has just returned from injury, so Dallas are hardly at their peek.

* The Cavaliers bench had been mediocre at best of late and that will not get in done against the elite. Jones has hit one big shot which will do him this month, and Marshall is hoping still for that shot. Varejao needs to see more minutes over Marshall as this team is desperate for energy.

* Lets all hope LeBron is on song tonight to keep us in this thing. We have the biggest of advantages at center, more then anyone could believe. We need to zone in on that. Gooden on Nowitzki ***shudders***.

Dallas look too good here folks.

Re: Cavaliers @ Mavericks

i am not voerly excited about this game...thier injuries may help us out though.....Diop CANOT guard Z please for the love of Christ give him the ball.....LeBron may need 60 for us to win....if they had thier full bench we would def lose but maybe since they are hurting a bit we can squeeze one out

Re: Cavaliers @ Mavericks

Can we already put a thumbs down next to this thread.

Thanks Karma, made me laugh.

Re: Cavaliers @ Mavericks

I'm pretty sure I won't watch this game or acknowledge it in any way....I'm just going to skip over it and pretend it never happened..

Lets focus on those BLAZERS.....

Re: Cavaliers @ Mavericks

Luckily I'll be playing my Monday night basketball game tonight so I won't be back until 10

Re: Cavaliers @ Mavericks

Hopefully you play a tuesday game as well.....

Re: Cavaliers @ Mavericks

Nope Mondays Thursdays and sometimes Fridays.. :( do I even want to know who we play tomorrow?

Re: Cavaliers @ Mavericks

I don't think that this one is going to be pretty. But, this team (without Hughes) is a year away of picking up a game like this on the road. A disappointing 1-3 trip looks likely, but not all hope is lost.

I am going to make what I think is a "not-so-bold" prediction right now. The Cavaliers will win out for the rest of the month after tonight. Four straight cupcakes at home followed by a trip to play the T-Macless Rockets should translate into 5 in a row. I have a feeling that we will also get Dallas at home at the end of the month. At the worst, they should win 5 of 6 and solidify the 4th seed by April. Also, there's alot of off says sprinkled in for the rest of the month......a great time to get healthy.

Keep the faith Cavs fans. We're going to end up with 47-48 wins and home court in the first round. Let's hope that we wrap it up with a week to go so LBJ can get some much needed rest for the playoff push.

Re: Cavaliers @ Mavericks

CavinCali, LePip, CavsDawgsTribe AKA the Three Stooges yet again believe tha Cavs will lose without a minute being played. Yall might as well skip the NCAA tournament as well, because of course all the #1 seeds will win and there will be no upsets.....

I have wrote this many times...Its not probable the Cavs will win, but possible. A true fan believes in whats possible......

With Dallas hurting and hopefully LBJ feeling better, Cavs can do it. Yeah lets get Z goin the whole game. Need a constant effort for 48 to win it tonite!!!

Re: Cavaliers @ Mavericks

a big fat L tonight for us, just cant see the positives.

however, im gunning for a win ofcourse ;)

Re: Cavaliers @ Mavericks

HPD we're realists. After getting blown out by the Magic? Collapsing under the Heat in Miami and just our overall inconsistency to beat teams we should doesn't give me much reason to think we can go in and trounce arguably the Wests best team.

Plus their rims are weird, notice tonight that when we shoot shots the noise it makes, I hate Dallas' rims..

Re: Cavaliers @ Mavericks

Dallas is a very good shooting team. If the Cavaliers can hang on offense then we can mabey upset the Mavs on their home court. The Cavs offense has been pretty crappy during the 2nd half of games, it needs to change here to stand a chance.

HPD we're realists.

I'm not quite sure if bagging the team and giving up on them after every single loss gives anyone the title "A Realist".
