When he is gone I think the bench unit becomes Delly/Garland/McKinney/KPJ/Nance. It does two things: first, it lets McKinney play more; second, it lets Garland get more minutes where he is *the* guy.

Delly and Garland on the court together? Two point guards, one shooting guard, one skinny small forward, and a finesse center. We may never get a rebound. Also, with no Clarkson there's nobody who can score in that group except Porter.

Windler steps into KPJ's current role as the 3 off the bench. Nance and Henson play when Love and TT are rested. McKinnie is the odd man out because he's strictly a 3 and they want to develop Windler, who Beilein has been gushing about. They just signed Cedi to a long term deal so McKinnie is third on the small forward depth chart.

I could see them benching Delly depending on how they want to focus on developing both Sexton and Garland. If they want to build up both of their PG skills then Delly probably just sits. His 3 point shot has been down right horrible and I think putting a 3 and D wing like Mckinnie would help both of them more than Delly on the floor. They will want to develop Windler too so I could see Garland/Windler/KPJ/Mckinnie/Nance as our second unit. They might trade in and out Sexton and Garland to see how each work with each unit.

I said it the second he was claimed that he was trash. When your playing with Curry Klay and Dray life is going to be easy. It will also make scrub tier players look like maybe they have something here. But in reality they don't.
