Cavaliers Fantasy Trade Thread: 2020-21 regular season edition

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Kevin Love would "Love" to play in Portland,,,your mission is get him there.
Love/Sexton for CJ and Simons?
You draft a Jalen Green and bring CJ off the bench for the last year or 2 or his contract.
I really don't dislike Sexton but I can't stand Love anymore and I never liked the Garland/Sexton fit
so one of them has to go.
I’d rather let that contract expire! I’m tired of letting these chumps go for free.

JR and Drummond were enough.

Cleveland receives: Brandon Ingram

New Orleans receives: Darius Garland, Isaac Okoro, Taurean Prince & '21 projected top 5 pick

Why? Cleveland goes all in & pairs Sexton with a star wing. They'd have a formidable young core in Sexton, Ingram & Allen. New Orleans gets two good prospects with potential & a top 5 pick in a strong draft class.

The very definition of giving away the store.. IMHO..

Id give them Sexton and Kevin Love for Ingram and call it a day.

I think Ingram for Sexton, Nance, and Prince seems reasonably fair. Don’t know if the Pels would be into it, but it makes some sense. They definitely missed Favors this year, and Nance can offer a lot of the same things he did and then some. He’d also fit well with Adams or Zion. Prince is expiring money, extra depth and could be included in another trade.

Pelicans could still turn around and aggregate some of their players and picks to bring in another star or potentially move up a bit in the draft. Guessing NO would still want some kind of pick, but I think we’d be able to keep our 1st this year.

Cleveland Cavaliers Receive: G Coby White, CHI 2021 2nd Round Pick, CHI 2022 1st Round Pick (Pick Swap, More Favorable to CLE), CHI 2024 1st Round Pick (Top-5 Protected), CHI 2026 1st Round Pick (unprotected)

Chicago Bulls Receive: G Collin Sexton

May 31, 2021 Brett Siegel Central Division, Chicago Bulls, Cleveland Cavaliers, NBA
This is believable because the bulls front office likes making trades where they dump good young talent for nothing useful. See Vuc and Troy brown trades

I really like Zach LaVine & Aaron Gordon on this roster. Would you guys do these trades?:

Trade #1

Cleveland receives: Zach LaVine, Thaddeus Young & Coby White

Chicago receives: Darius Garland, Kevin Love & 4th pick

Why?

Cleveland acquires an all star in Zach LaVine. Thad Young is a great role player & Coby White still has potential.

Chicago gets a starting calliber PG in Garland. He was one of the most improved players this past season. They also get a top 5 pick in a strong draft.

Trade #2

Cleveland receives: Aaron Gordon & Bol Bol

Denver receives: Larry Nance Jr., Taurean Prince & '23 top 5 protected first

Why?

Cleveland upgrades their power forward spot with Gordon.

Denver gets a nice package in Nance & lightly protected first.

You seem to be overvaluing Kevin Love in these trades
I also don't get the idea, that Chicago would even want Love, with their current core , not just because you like Lavine and think they should trade him for a guy who can't stay healthy.
Cleveland is not trading Kevin Love he will retire in Cleveland or take a buyout and chase another ring as a bench forward.
You also are overvaluing Bol in the second trade, who as far as I can tell, does not play at all.

Thanks for your honest feedback. I think Garland & the 4th pick would be an enticing package. Not sure they'd consider it, but I would certainly offer it.

If I am reading garland and the 4 i better get a star playmaking wing back. Lavine ain't it

What is your process of coming up with your trade ideas and does it involve a ton of alcohol or drugs?

I just try to be as creative as possible, while trying to remain somewhat realistic at the same time.
