Cavaliers Fantasy Trade Thread: 2020-21 regular season edition

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Why are all your trades the Cavs going "all in" and also losing better assets?
Idk I get the itch that maybe this team needs to make a splash. I'm not an expert however & I would gladly support our F.O. if they think standing pat is the right move.

Mortgaging your future rarely ends well.

I was thinking something along those lines. Maybe Drummond and Osman for Rozier, Zeller, and Bridges. Gets us out of Osman's deal if they think he's a positive asset.
Don’t see the need/fit for Rozier. I’d propose a simpler trade:

Biyombo can be traded Feb 6, so you could put together a Drummond/Cavs Future 1st with top 18 protections to grab Miles Bridges, with Zeller and Biyombo the expiring contract filler to make the cap money work. One or both of Zelller/Biyombo get bought out depending on whether or not McGee is still here.

Roster:

“Young core”
Sexton
Garland
Okoro
KPJ
Windler
Bridges
Allen
2021 pick(most likely BPA wing)

“Vets”
Love
Nance
Prince
Cedi

Rozier would be a great backup PG. Scorer off the bench. Attitude fits with the teams mentality at the moment too.

I guess I just don’t see the fit, with Sexton and Garland already smaller guards, KPJ still at this point part of the plans, and Okoro likely to see some of his minutes at SG.

But Rozier is good, he’s competitive, he’s from the area. I wouldn’t hate it just don’t see it as the ideal fit as long as the Cavs still feel committed to both Sexton and Garland.

Also, I don’t see Charlotte as seeing either Rozier or Bridges as negative assets so I just don’t see them including both in a deal for Drummond when they could dump Zeller and Biyombo with Bridges and either keep Rozier or look to deal him elsewhere to balance their roster more.

Cleveland gets: Julius Randle

New York gets: Kevin Love, '21 unprotected first & '22 pick swap (unprotected)

Why? Cleveland upgrades their power forward spot with Randle, who's had a breakout year. New York flips Randle into a couple firsts.

PG: Collin Sexton / Darius Garland / Matthew Dellavedova
SG: Kevin Porter Jr. / Damyean Dotson
SF: Isaac Okoro / Cedi Osman / Taurean Prince / Dylan Windler
PF: Julius Randle / Larry Nance Jr. / Dean Wade
C: Andre Drummond / Jarrett Allen / Javale McGee
Coach: J.B. Bickerstaff

Cleveland gets: Garry Harris & Miles Bridges

Denver gets: Malik Monk & Cody Zeller (exp)

Charlotte gets: Andre Drummond

Why? Cleveland gets a nice combo guard & a decent prospect in Bridges. Denver gets a young player in Monk & gets Zeller who is expiring, Charlotte gives Drummond a run, & they obtain his bird rights in the process.

Not trading an unprotected pick for a guy who has a contract up after next season and is then unrestricted. That only saves us a year of Love's salary. We'd also need to take on more salary for it to work.

Please trade Wade to NY so he can play.

Charlotte gets: Darius Garland & Javale McGee

Why? Cleveland acquires a couple young players with potential. Charlotte could use a scoring guard next to Ball. Javale is there for salary purposes.

Cleveland gets: Malik Monk

Charlotte gets: Javale McGee (filler) & 3 '22 2nd round picks.

Why? Cleveland could use a guy like Monk to bolster their bench. Charlotte gets some picks in return.

What is your obsession with Malik Monk?
