Cavaliers Fantasy Trade Thread: 2020-21 regular season edition

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The Mavs seem to be willing to move Porzingis. If the opportunity arises, should the Cavs trade Love for Porzingis (one additional year of contract at almost the same salary)?

There can be a trade, ether a straight-up, or with multiple players, and some picks might be involved:

Cavs get:
Porzingis, expiring James Johnson

Mavs get:
Love, Cedi, expiring JaVale

I'm sure we'd have to give up at least a pick, but what about:

Cavaliers get:
Porzingis, James Johnson and Dwight Powell

Mavericks get:
Andre Drummond and Kevin Love

This makes KP and Love salaries a virtual wash for 2021 free agency, while wiping out the additional ~$11M of Powell's salary. Could the Mavs do more with an additional $11M in cap space? Probably.

If the Mavs are trading Porzingis, they'll most likely want Drummond's expiring instead of Love. I think KP's value is pretty low so Koby might be able to get him for cheap if that's the route he wants to take. Dumping Porzingis without getting salary for next year would be a win for the Mavs.

Cleveland gets: Tobias Harris

Philadelphia gets: Andre Drummond (exp)

Why? Cleveland needs some scoring. Harris is a pure scorer. Philadelphia gets out of that contract without having to give up assets. I know Drummond isn't a good fit in Philly, but this is all about dumping Harris.

Philly doesn’t want to dump Harris, they want to win games

Cleveland gets: Dwight Powell, Josh Richardson, Maxi Kleber, '21 & '22 unprotected seconds.

Dallas gets: Andre Drummond

Why? Cleveland gets some value out of Drummond. Dallas gets cap relief for cheap.

James Johnson instead of the maxi/Richardson i could see. No way in hell Dallas gives up their best 5 and 2 for drummond

Can't trade consecutive first round picks (they have none incoming) and they owe '21 and '23 to the Knicks. The '23 pick is protected through 2025. They can't trade any picks.

Nets get: Javale McGee and Cedi Osman
Bulls get: Spencer Dinwiddie and Andre Drummond
Cavs get: Otto Porter, Cristiano Felico, lottery protected 1st from and 2022 2nd from Bulls and Atlanta 2nd and 2022 2nd from Nets.

They are coming out of the woodwork for Nance! Boston, Miami and Philly are all interested in trading for him! Good luck with that plan! Philly would have to give up Simmons (ain’t happening), Boston would have to give up Jaylan Brown (Nope) and the Heat would have to give up Bam and Herro (Not happening) and all of those three teams would have to throw in an unprotected first as well. In other words Nance is going nowhere

I also heard on ESPN Radio that Boston is “thinking” about using its TPE to possibly acquire Dre!
