Cavaliers' Notes
* Have won seven in a row - going for a season high tying 8th.

* On December 20th, 2005, the Cavs beat Miami 115-107 at the Q. LeBron had 41 points and 10 assists, including 13 consecutive points in the 4th quarter. The Cavs had a 22 point in the 4th - Miami stormed back to make it a game, but came up short. Boo Hoo.

* Donyell Marshall posted season highs during the first meeting - 39 minutes, 25 points and 13 boards.

Heat notes
* Have won 5 straight against the Cavs in South Beach.

* The Heat are 15-6 at home, and have won 3 straight.

* Damon Jones returns to Miami for the first time since his playing days there last year.

* The Heat has won nine of its past 12 to move a season-best 10 games above .500.

* Center Shaquille O'Neal is shooting .637 from the field over the past seven games, averaging 22.4 points and 9.7 rebounds.

* Guard Jason Williams (finger) and forward Shandon Anderson (groin) are questionable.

Chicagocavfan's keys to the game

* Containing Shaq - him and Wade have pick and rolled us fairly well in the past - our defense has improved against this, will be a test tonight.

* Matching the Heat's intensity - we all know they will bring it hard tonight - we blew them out in late December (even though they made the score close in the 4th). The heat have been off for 2 days, we are coming off a win last night.

Humourous Tidbit:

Count Wade among those to adopt leg warmers. Wade has followed the trend started by Kobe Bryant and emulated by James.

"Once you wear something you're comfortable with and you play well, you're going to do it again," Wade said of the full-length sleeve on his left leg. "I needed a different look personally. Then once I wore it, I liked it.

"Now I've got Shaq wearing it." ...

Asked which would be bigger, James' appearance or the return of former Heat guard Damon Jones, Wade smiled and said, "I think LeBron coming in."

Wade then turned to a camera and said, "My bad, Damon."

If we beat them, this will really do something for us.

Great preview CCF!!! Love the dancer pics!

This should be a great game. Heat and Cavs are tied for second in the East. Cavs won 7, Heat 3. Heat want payback. Despite playing last night, the Cavs will be up for this one.

We may need all our bigs tonite to contain Shaq. Id like to see Andy guard him. Will LBJ guard Wade? Maybe not until late in the game. Should be competitive, to close to call.

Go Cavs!!!

Wow, awsome preview CCF.

I don't know what to make of this game. Miami is a good team, I am not sure that we can take them on the road.

Plus this is a back to backer. I'd bet that our winning streak ends here.

I move that dancer pics and humorous captions be included in every game preview.

In the spirit of hpd's sig line, I would like to name my fear: DWade against Sasha. I am afeard that Wade will either blow by him or lure him into many fouls, thus limiting Sasha's scoring ability. I hope Sasha is up to the challenge and that Brown switches off Snow and BronBron on Wade.

Other needs: Z, bench scoring in a big way, and the same grind-it-out intensity, which is what really worries me since this is the second of a back-to-back, on the road, and, what, the fourth game we've played in five days?

But the Heat haven't played well against the better teams (those with winning records).

cavs dancers are alot hotter... alot hotter... cavs did beat heat already and the suns to and held the high scoring offence of the nets to only 38% shooting and i have to say that we have a very very good shoot to win tonight... and im a real cavs fan so i say of corse there going to win its going to be a 8 game winning streak baby...

Payton has been starting of late and is shooting well from the perimeter. Wade will be a problem child for us. Hopefully he will not create too much foul trouble on our bigs. Those fouls are saved for Shaq. Z has to continually pull Mourning and Shaq out of the lanes allowing James and Sasha to go to work. Drew has to be strong tonight on the boards. Haslem is a strong body and will trouble him if not prepared to bang.

If we can beat them on the second night of a back-to-back, without Hughes, on the road, it would make a powerful statement to the East. I'm really jacked up for this game. This has a bit of a playoff feel to it for me....hope I'm not setting myself up for a letdown.

Ferry and Gilbert flew with the team to Miami....

Ferry and Gilbert flew with the team to Miami....

I wouldn't pass on a trip into South Beach during the middle of winter Cleveland either...

Hopefully Ferry packs the SPF 45 for his noggin.

Z usually does a good job on Shaq, but the key will be rotating well off the doubles if thats how Mike Brown chooses to guard Shaq. You also figure a large amount of effort will be spent denying him position and the ball in the first place

A win tonight stamps playoff contender. Back to back in Miami is one of the toughest asks possible. We will be on a bit of a downer energy wise after a tough win against the Nets, but the prospect of beating an Eastern power on their court should have the team pumped.

Not starting off good.

Wade just traveled on that pass to Haslem...

Gooden misses an easy hook..

11-4 already.

Shaq scores on a tough D given by Z.

We look a step slow. Plenty of time though to work into this thing!

15 - 8 Miami with 5.20 remianing in the first.

Miami flowing rather well. I suspect Jones and Marshall will step in, so hopefully they can be on line tonight as our starting crew look a little scratchy thus far.

Great D by Lebron on that Wade drive.

Jones bangs a three tho, glad to see him make himself usefull

and i told you..stay five feet off Wade and make him shoot and he wont beat us.

he hasnt hit a jumper yet from that range.
