List of everyone on a make-good contract. Among the interesting names in wake of Shumpert injury:

Chris Douglas-Roberts, Pelicans -- good length (6-7) decent handle, 3 stroke only 28
http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/d/douglch01.html

JOrdan Crawford, Bulls -- only 31% 3pt shooter, and shot selection ever questionable, but can handle ball and be explosive in spurts, 6'4 decent size, but not always motivated defender, only 26 so maybe he'll figure it out/be less of a knucklehead
http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/c/crawfjo02.html

Rasual Butler, Spurs -- little long in the tooth (36) but played on playoff teams and has shot over 39% from 3 last 2 yrs
http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/b/butlera01.html

Elijah Milsap, Jazz -- 6'6, debuted in the NBA last season for them and while modest off stats (31% from 3), had 1.2 steals/gm in just 19.7 mpg, 5.8 rbds/2.3asst-per36 mn. not young (28) but very good first season, and seemed to get better as season went on.

Nick Johnson, Nuggets -- only saw 200 minutes with Rockets so hard to judge his game, but he looked good in summer league (i know, eye roll) Liked his game at AZ but he's only 6'3...

Dahntay Jones and Ben Gordon could also be interesting though both are kinda old.

Man, that list makes my eyes bleed.

I can't imagine any of these guys are worth wasting a roster spot on. Not with the contract guarantees we have in place.

Given the TPE, that final roster spot needs to be open, leaving the slim chance we could improve it at the deadline.

Just a reminder that NBATV is showing todays practice. I watched the Bucks one yesterday and it was really cool. I'd recommend catching it.

Blatt was asked today by Chris Haynes whether Shumpert's injury makes it more likely the Cavs carry 15 players at the beginning of the season. His answer strongly implied that he seemed to think it would be a good idea, though he did also say he couldn't be sure they would. Not sure if this reflects the Cavs' thinking or if he got slightly off-message here.

When Griffin was asked about the injury, instead of mentioning the fact that they have an open roster spot, he chose to talk about Joe Harris stepping up to fill that role.

I know it sounds crazy, but man I want Stephens to make the team...if you can get that guy to develop a jumper...

So who is most likely to take Tristan's roster spot now that he is officially a hold out?

Probably Dunnigan given his position and likelihood he would be willing to sign a non guaranteed deal.

If I was guessing on roster spots, Cook and Dunnigan would be non guaranteed guys I'd bet on (that would then be cut when Shump and TT return). Guess we'll see.

LeBatard reported yesterday that Mike Miller tried to get back with the Heat this summer.

What a strange history that guy has.

He was needed here for a year to help stabilize Kyrie and Love.

Kyrie seems to be deathly loyal to Mike and Mike was Kevin's go to guy during the rough patches.

Best of luck to him in Denver.

Good sign there as Kevin Love's shoulder mobility looked good on his work with the telescope. Couldn't get a gauge on Kyrie's recovery since he didn't pivot in the video.
