These guys are going through the motions. PHX had zero big guys out there tonight and they'd just as soon jack up deep jumpers than put for the effort needed to get to the rim. I like how Hughes had one strong drive for a bucket, then never tried it again. Thanks Larry, you're the man.
No Amare. No problem. I swear if you sit one of your top guys, your chance of beating the Cavs goes up. Same crap happened routinely last season as well. It's like the Cavs lessen their level of play to try and maintain the same balance.
I shudder to think that Hughes/Newble/Jones are in our top 8 and we want people to take us seriously. When they are on the floor together in a close game in the 4th, I want to cry.
Tonight was a complete waste. PHX came out not playing well. Cavs played decently in the first half. Solid D and exploited their advantage inside. Halftime comes and Brown's team gets picked apart in the 3rd once again. PHX got anything they wanted in the 2nd half and the offense fell apart for the Cavs.
Yawn.

Backcourt was terrible tonight at both ends of the court. Frontcourt couldn't do much more than they did.
There is too much settling for long jumpers at times especially when you're playing a Suns team with Amare and no real inside presence. Cavs did go more to Z and Gooden than they do most of the time though.
Cavs got Phoenix to play their game in the 1st half but the Suns played more their style in the 2nd. This game was there for the taking at halftime.

Majerle commentating = bonus.
Sasha claimed he had been working out all summer in Serbia. When they asked him what his workout consisted of during the last game he said that he had been playing some full court with his Serbian National team and the last couple weeks he had met with a trainer and did some stuff. I don't think he really did jack compared to some of the leagues better players that work real hard in the offseason. I know it was his first game back, but he played 17 mins and hit one shot, hell Newble doubled his one shot in 5 less minutes. I really do have to question Sasha's dedication and efforts in his own to make himself worthy of his contract and holding out as long as he did.
