I predict that Newble if healthy will be back in the rotation next year....I love to mkae fun of him but he is a hard worker and when he has complete health can defend better than 78% of the NBA........overall a pretty bad half of basketball for the Cavs but we are in the game so we just need to come out and play hard in the 2nd
38-38 halfway into this. So far, Pierce has been relatively quiet. Both teams aren't doing much on O, but Cleveland is giving up way too many open J's. Meanwhile, after a cold 0-11 start the Cavs have gotten some easy baskets on run outs without the Celt's D set. The halfcourt offense is lacking tonight though, Z just isn't tearing it up like he normally does inside.
The 3rd quarter is going to be key, the Cavs survived one 5 minute offensive drought but another would be pretty hard to overcome

Newble has gotten like an average of 5 seconds per game, usually inserted for a single defensive possession. He's usually not a key defender on the ball for those plays, but for whatever reason, there hasnt been any scoring. I think of this as more of a good luck charm effect.
Wow, one of the ugliest games I've seen. AV is an awesome garbage guy, but outside of 5 feet and it gets ugly. Sasha isn't a handler, but really didn't have much choice except run a couple breaks... The 2nd unit just doesn't got much offensively. Jones, Marshall, and Sasha are all spot up shooters primarily, AV is a tip in garbage guy.
It was a pretty ugly game, especially the 1st 3 quarters. Cavs were basically going through the motions and had little energy through the 1st 3.
Varejao and Marshall provided a much needed spark off the bench tonight.
Not one of Z's best games but he still contributed and came up with some key 2nd half plays.
LeBron came up big and had a nice all around game tonight.
For once it was nice to see Pierce not go off on the Cavs.
I don't know if anyone else watching the game on Fox Sports Ohio feels the same, but that was one of the most poorly directed basketball games I have ever seen. I feel I missed about 1/4 of the game. There were long closeups of coaches, players and fans while the game was going on. They must have missed at least 10 plays and we never saw anywhere from the 1st 5 to the 1st 10 seconds of the shot clock on any possession. I don't know if they used a different director tonight but I hope this is a one time problem.
Nice to get a game that should have been a win but tonight's effort won't be enough against quality opponents.
