Added RFA qualifying offers on the new guys and noted Hill's partial-guaranteed for the 19-20 season

George hill and JR Smith combine for 23,700,000 Green and Perkins is 6 million.

All three should be moved. personally I would keep Korver if possible.

Perks is non guaranteed and can be waived at any time without costing anything. He is just there in case the cavs need trade filler.

Green is not on the Cavs roster, but his Free Agent amount counts against the salary cap until he is renounced or he signs with another club

According to Spotrac, Okaro White is actually signed through next year. Nothing is guaranteed until the first regular season game of the upcoming season.

https://www.spotrac.com/nba/cleveland-cavaliers/okaro-white-20798/

The Cavs also have several trade exceptions on their ledger.

The prominent one is from the Kyrie Irving trade that expires on August 22. It's $5,811,114.

They also have the Richard Jefferson exception at $2.5M that expires 10/14, the Kay Felder Exception at $1.3M that expires on 10/14, and a $1.47M exception from all the trades in February.

Cavs also have rights to one overseas players that could have an impact in the NBA at some point in the future: Arturas Gudaitis. He has a fairly cheap out on his Euro contract that could allow him to come over next summer.

Thanks, I updated the sheet

Buyout notes--

Cavs can potentially use stretch buyouts if they need to "limbo" under the luxury tax line this season
  • Hill -- pay $4Mil a year for 5 years, reducing this year's salary by $15Mil
  • JR -- pay $3.9Mil per year over for 5 years, reducing this year's salary by $11Mil
  • Korver -- pay $2.2Mil per year over 5 years, reducing this year's salary by $5.3Mil

I guess the depth chart now looks like:

Depth Chart:
  • PG: George Hill / Collin Sexton / Isaiah Taylor
  • SG: Jordan Clarkson /JR Smith / Rodney Hood / Dakota Mathias / David Nwaba
  • SF: Cedi Osman / Kyle Korver / Sam Dekker
  • PF: Larry Nance Jr. / Kevin Love
  • C: Tristan Thompson / Ante Zizic
Seems like some of those SG’s have to go

  • Min salary free agents count as $1,512,601 for cap & tax purposes, but count as their actual salary for trade purposes. I listed taxable portion of salary in the chart, not actual salaries.

  • Korver has a 3.4M guarantee for 19-20. Becomes fully guaranteed on July 7, 2019.
  • Rodney Hood has a "no trade" clause on his 1 year deal
Depth Chart:
  • PG: George Hill / Collin Sexton / Isiah Taylor
  • SG: Jordan Clarkson / Rodney Hood / David Nwaba
  • SF: Cedi Osman / JR Smith / Kyle Korver
  • PF: Kevin Love / Larry Nance Jr. / Sam Dekker
  • C: Tristan Thompson / Ante Zizic / Channing Frye
Transactions/Edits:
  • 7/01/2018 All the free agents run for the door
  • 7/04/2018 Signed Sexton to rookie scale contract
  • 7/06/2018 Preston signed to 2-way contract
  • 7/17/2018 Perkins Waived
  • 7/19/2018 Signed Frye to min salary deal
  • 7/24/2018 Love signs 4 year extension
  • 8/04/2018 Waived Okaro White
  • 8/07/2018 Trade just about nothing to get Dekker & cash monies
  • 8/16/2018 Signed Isaiah Taylor to min salary deal
  • 9/08/2018 Signed Nwaba to min salary deal
  • 9/08/2018 Signed Hood signed Qualifying offer using bird rights
Cavs still have the MLE and are about 6.5Mil under the luxury tax line
