He’s a great guy but based on his coaching staff, he’s surrounded himself with allies, former Lakers teammates and an Arizona guy and I think that will be his demise. Coaches are only as good as their staff and he didn’t take note playing and coaching under Kerr and Phil because those guys didn’t do it by themselves. Even Pop and Stevens have talented assistants at all times to help in other area while they focus on their strengths.

There’s no one good out there

Kidd, Fisher, SVG, Marc Jackson, Vogel. Not a list I’d hire from right now. Wait until the offseason when there will be better options.

Keep him, fire him, didn’t really matter. Don’t think he’s anything impressive, but even a great coach couldn’t do much with this team as constructed. Have no idea how good or bad he is at player development. That would be my only concern at this point, and odds are any coach proven to be a great developmental coach likely wouldn’t be available at this point anyway.

Is it just me, or would playing our young players INSTEAD of vets like TT and JR, actually IMPROVE our odds of winning?!
