It's pretty much impossible to not end up switching pick and rolls consistently with this team.

Especially with Kyrie Irving. He does a very poor job fighting over screens to begin with. I don't see any choice really unless he's going to do an outstanding job fighting over the screens, which he's never been very good at.

This is probably his biggest weakness defensively. So if Kyrie is out there defending Curry I don't really see much choice they have. They'll end up switching. Tristan and Love just got to be disciplined on their close outs with Steph.

I'm sure Lue and co will work on this. Steph is going to score. There's a reason why he's so hard to stop. It's the system. They run a ridiculous amount of screens to get the switches and mismatches they want. It's going to happen. We just got to make sure our guys are prepared for it.

Another couple of things I think are key.

Game 1, I'll still hold hope if we lose obviously but the winner of game 1 usually wins the series. I think getting 3-1 is critical.

Rebounding - this is the area we have to dominate them. No second chance points and TT hammer the offensive rebounds. We must win this battle and win it well.

Can't wait! I've taken game 5,6 and 7 off work and game 4 is a Saturday for me so no matter what I'll get to see us close it out live.
The first three I'll just have to avoid social media and radio all day and watch when I get home from work.

NBA announced they are reviewing the Draymond takedown.

Easy flagrant and one game suspension, right?? :chuckle:

@David.
Source? Other than RealGM, I haven't seen anyone else say it. If he bends Kevin's arm back like that, it could be serious. I saw Fox Sports wrote an article about it, but they based it all on the RealGm tweet.

They said it and talked about it on The Starters on NBA TV today.

why the fuck does it take days to review?

Think it's worth noting that during the reg season, OKC, POR, and HOU were 1st, 3rd, and 6th in offensive rebound rate, respectively, per Zach Lowe (Cle was 9th).

And, to be fair...GS grabbed 76% of their defensive rebound chances in the regular season...good for 15th best in the NBA.

They've never been a good defensive rebounding team, because they play small for so long...why that 76% figure has dropped below 73% in the playoffs, since they play their small guys even more than in the regular season...

OKC exposed one of their weaknesses...that is, you can destroy them on the glass, and if you make the 2nd chances count, they have a tough time dealing with you and appear to tire out on offense after having to guard for 40+ seconds...

Why I am in total agreement with what Charles Barkley first said and has been saying for a while now...don't try to matchup with GS when they go small...make them pay for going small by killing them on the glass.

it feels weird saying this but i could see either team sweeping this series, just depending on how the ball bounces and who ends up hot when. At the same time i could see it going 7 and not a single game is within 8. Both teams have just so much fire power.

I dont think the lineup of death or whatever its called is goign to make a damn bit of difference. Once the warriors switch to that, the cavs can switch to their lineup with Love and Frye. While the cavs may lose out in quickness they can still out shoot the warriors and out rebound them.

I think at the end of the day things are going to come down to how much can irving and smith slow down curry and klay, and the rebounding game. If the cavs can dominate on the boards (and no reason to think they cant), they are in a great position to win

They haven't reviewed it yet? I'm sure they already have.
No way they're actually taking action on that. They usually announce a ruling within 24 hours after a playoff game, if there is one.

Plus I already read that one of the higher-ups said that the double common foul was "the right call".

I dont expect green to get upgraded to a flagrant foul, but this is now the 4th time in 4 games in which the NBA has had to review one of his plays. At what point do they finally just suspend him for a game? He has kicked a guy in the nuts, kicked a guy in the head, intentionally tripped a guy, and pulled a guy over him and to the ground. Even if youre going out of your way to keep a guy from getting suspended the little things start to add up. At some point you get tired of protecting him just because you have to do it every game

Draymond trips a guy and bends someones arm back pulling them down after they review a clearly intentional kick to the nuts. One would think the leash would get shorter after that type of behavior, but nope, gets absolutely nothing on the last two dirty plays.
