Have you even stuck your head out to look around lately or are you just following the misinformed, tired narrative?

Not much has changed? Have you been to Ohio City? The Flats? East 4th? Downtown in general? Lakewood? Tremont? Gordon Square? University Circle? Detroit Shoreway Neighborhood?

You're part of the problem. How about actually acknowledging the insane amount of neighborhood reform and the city's evolution instead of being a lazy ass?

One of the things I love about this area was how this city reacted to when LeBron left.

No, no, not the Jersey burning. But the attitude that businesses, people, and officials had. Rather than curl up in a fetal position and go "OH WOE IS US!"? We rolled up our sleeves and tried to give the biggest middle finger to the media possible by trying to remake our city in multiple different ways.

It was incredible to see. Lot of smart and creative people in this area.

Just was driving around the city within the last month. I didn't say the whole city was trash so don't get your panties in a bunch.

If the site I use allows me, I'll do a report on how well bettors have predicted games this post season

I'm not sure how well THEY match up against US!

What if I told you, you had to stop LeBron James, Kyrie Irving, JR Smith and Kevin Love from scoring....while accounting for Tristan Thompson on lobs and offensive rebounds.

That....that is terrifying. We are the juggernaut. They should be pissing their pants.
I hope Cavs sweep but Kyrie, Love and TT aren't good defenders and LBJ has for sure lost a step on defense.

If Klay and Steph are on, if you even give em an ounce of daylight, they hit. Green can get away with playing football/wrestling/MMA. If their role players are hitting shots too, it jus makes it that much harder to focus on their top 2 shooters.

And here we go again..."how can we guard GS, oh no, oh no"...

How the fuck can they guard us right now...

edit: less than 50% correct in conference finals games

But you made sure to use a blanket statement and call "your" city a "run down piece of shit."

Idiotic and ignorant statement out of someone who clearly has their head in the sand.
  • Highest downtown population since the 1980s and has increased 79% since 2000
  • Voted a top 25 city for college grads
  • In 2015, more than 5,000 jobs were created and retained in Downtown Cleveland
  • Since 2011, the spending power of Downtown's retail trade area has increased by more than $100 million
  • Ranked 15th best city for jobs by Bloomberg
  • Home sales in Cleveland have increased by 10% since 2011 while the value of homes increased by 14%
But please, go on about how it's a shit hole and nothing's changed.

Re-watching that January 18th game. Solar system night and day between that Cleveland team and this one. My goodness.

Negatives:

- Our defense was just so bad. Moz was the worst. But LeBron and Kyrie were equally bad.

- Kyrie also wasn't interested in scoring if it required a quick first step or jump-shot. He had no faith in his game, body, or three.

- Nobody on Cleveland looked concerned about getting easy buckets for their teammates. Most of the passing was of the "I don't want this $#!+.. you take it" variety.

Positives:

- Kevin played surprisingly good defense on both Draymond AND Curry--wouldn't let Draymond get an angle to drive past him and played his jumpers well. Those vine clips showing his defensive lapses were when Cleveland was already down 50. Nobody cared about the game at that point.

- Steph won't navigate screens like that again this season.

- LeBron and Kyrie haven't played like that in the playoffs and won't. Even in those Toronto losses. Moz is benched.
That game came at the worst possible time as we were just coming back from the Texas road trip (in addition to some other stops) and Golden State was blown out by Detroit the Saturday before that. That doesn't excuse the piss poor effort we gave that night but it's impossible for me to fathom that we haven't greatly improved since then.

It's also one of the games they supposedly quit on their head coach...
