Contact looking good. Playing like this means the Cavs will be able to consolidate some talent.

Cedi has always functioned much better as a complementary player than as a lead dog. We've seen this with him his entire time with the Cavs -- he plays better with better players around him. I have no issue with hanging on to him and seeing if this lasts. If it does, you keep him. I think that risk is worth the comparatively light return we'd probably get from trying to trade him now anyway.

Happy to be wrong on him, cedi was my number one hope to be traded cav this past off season, but has cut down on the mistakes and is focusing on his new sniper role.

His defensive instincts are still poor, but he always plays hard and is turning back into the guy you want to root for.

I think having a bona fide PG in the second unit is also working wonders for him. He often fancied himself the first option coming off the bench last year and tried to force the playmaker role miserably. He’s a great hustle player, but simultaneously undisciplined. Rubio allows him to fill a role, which as you point out, is what Cedi as much as anyone needs.

He is actually a pretty good passer/distributor who helps keep the ball moving. But if you ask him to be the primary distributor out on the floor, that's when it all falls apart.

Cedi is as inconsistent as they come. I wouldn't say he has reinvented himself or turned a new leaf only until we have a bigger sample size for the season. I'd say around 30 games or so would be a good mark to know where he stands compared to previous seasons. Last year he started off really well and fell off a cliff.

He has saved us the last few games. That's for sure.

8 mill this year, 7.4 next and 6.7 final year.

He will be a valuable asset moving forward or probably a valuable rotational role player.

I am not sure he can quite keep up the 50% shooting from 3, but he is playing well in his 15-20 minutes a game.

He's showing signs of becoming a sniper and the chase-down block was a thing of beauty.

He hasn't be a complete and utter train wreck on defense this season, makes him much more useful
