If we are being honest with ourselves he’s becoming a modern day Sarunas Marciulionis.

And that’s exciting….

I'm just gonna call for him to start. He has great synergy with Mitchell and Garland. We need that spacing pretty badly

He needs to ball more than he should get it with the starters. No thanks.

His USG% is 17. I know..I know.. we hate the term USG%, but still.

Cedi excels with creators on the floor and he excels on open looks either via catch and shoot or dribble penetration. He loves getting the ball with momentum...something that both Garland and Mitchell can provide.

Still, with Wade healthy he should be the starter. But if you asked me who would be the starter in his absence? it's Cedi over both LeVert and Stevens.

With Rubio healthy I want Cedi with the 2nd unit...as he fits in a faster paced offense which ofcourse suits Ricky if he comes back healthy.

I think Cedi would have been a better player on faster paced teams.

He's really close to Boobie Gibson in a lot of all time stats atm randomly

I think his defense had been pretty good this year. Many fewer bonehead mistakes. Is this his breakout year?
I think we fall for this shit even more often than the AC retiring announcements on April 1 :chuckle:

It's the fewer mistakes and better finishing that does it for me. He just got 5% better at executing and that was all he needed.

With Rubio back, I expect him to have a good year

I really like what he’s doing with his hair…. It’s like long curly…

It’s working for him…

I agree with 100% of this. Also, not to get ahead of ourselves, but I do think that Cedi has taken a step forward over the last year. His awareness has really improved.

We are so used to young players that Cedi seems old. But he’s only 27. The next year or 2 ought to be his prime. It’s quite possible that he really has gotten better and/or has a role that suits him better.

I really think it is the role with Cedi. The story on him each year has been almost exactly the same. He plays well until there are injuries that force him into more of a creator's role in the offense. As soon as he starts taking on the role of a shot creator, everything falls apart and fans want to string him up.

This year, that generally has not been an issue because of the addition of Mitchell, so we're seeing him put in the exact complementary role for which he is best suited.

This is odd to me though - because doesn't this suggest he should be in the starting lineup? No need to create when both Garland/Mitchell are in...

Well...it does to me! I said that back in September, but we'll have to see. Wade works as a complementary player as well.
