Classic Football

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Some contemporaries thought he was the best RB of all time as he was a tremendous blocker as well as a devastating runner. Also played LB. Broke the color barrier with Bill Willis.

Yep - I've heard the same too from old-timers who swear that Motley was better than JB.

Man those Eagles uniforms are smooth….

Well there’s that….

On the defensive side, I was a big fan of this guy in the 90s. He was a total maniac.

Leading with the crown of the helmet... football like God intended....like God football inten.....ummm.... hold on..... like football intended to God....

shit, I's confused right now. I need a nap.

Seriously tho, damn. Football has gone too far in some areas to protect people who chose to play a sport for millions of dollars, but damn, disallowing leading with the crown is a good thing. The volume of vicious blows those guys absorbed... giving and taking.... to the head.... now that we know the long term damage that occurs.... smh (no pun intended).

Yeah I remember the controversy over his spearing. Back then, people would sometimes try to argue that leading with the head was okay as long as you didn't hit someone helmet to helmet. We now know that any leading with the head, regardless of where it lands, is dangerous.
