Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Remember the 1994 Nuggets upsetting the SuperSonics? Now the Nuggets are about to do something even more exciting nearly 30 years later.

That Sonics vs Rockets 94 matchup would have been delicious.

They were so good in 96 but obviously MJ destroyed them in GOAT fashion…. Anywho, I think the Sonics were better with Gill next to Payton than Hawkins later on.

How they lost to the Nuggets is still puzzling…

LOL I don't remember this one. Regular season game apparently.

The first big entanglement I remember seeing was this one with Grant Long in the 1994 playoffs:

That “Ehlo & Lenny era” Hawks jersey is hands down a top 3 favorite of mine. I was very fortunate enough to acquire a Danny Manning game used one years ago—which was a white whale for me, cause my favorite trade of all time was when Dominique got traded to the Clippers for Manning at the ‘94 deadline…

I’m gonna get my paws on a Nique Clippers jersey one day cause I vividly remember my mind being blown seeing Dominque Wilkins as a Los Angeles Clipper…

Lol that era brings back lots of mixed response for me. The first three games I saw in person were in 1993 with Dominique still there. There was a preseason game in 1993 in Nashville (my family lived in TN at the time) vs. the Spurs (saw David Robinson and Demolition Man era Rodman there; dude in the crowd in front of us kept heckling Rodman and calling him a "bozo"), and then back to back early regular season games vs. the Sixers (got to see huge Shawn Bradley and old Moses Malone) and Bullets (we were huge Rex Chapman fans). Brent Price, though he was a Bullet, autographed my Atlanta Hawks pennant, lol. And I remember Dominique throwing down a huge windmill in one of those games. Fun times.

We were really mad when he was traded to the Clippers. We still watched a ton of Hawks games because this was the era before DirecTV when all you could watch were nationally televised games, or else local ones, and we were close enough to GA to get SportSouth TV, which showed all the Hawks games. Mom eventually got sick of the Hawks commentators fawning over Danny Manning and she kind of hated him for awhile...but a few years later, he and Rex Chapman played together on the Suns, and we eventually liked Manning by that point.

Cool memories!

Here is a D-Wade (who clearly is in complete shambles and just a shell of himself) in the 2013 NBA FINALS…

some legit tough guys on that floor. In the "what could have been" - how good would Danny Manning have been had he stayed healthy?

White numbers on the classic Lakers purple script.

@David.

Got to see him play live in MN when visiting relatives there late in 2004. It was the season after his MVP performance, and he was still near peak. Of all the games I went to in person, his performance was the best I remember -- he impacted practically every play on both offense and defense. He could do absolutely everything except shoot the 3 ball, which of course wasn't as big a priority in those days -- great at ballhandling, steals, blocks, boards, could defend 1-5, and could score from everywhere inside the 3 point line. He definitely earned his nickname "The Big Ticket." Very glad to have had the opportunity to see him play live back then.
