Forgot that Porter was still a baller after his time in Portland.
That Wolves team made the playoffs for the first time that year -- Garnett/Marbury/Googs.... Scary trio and yet barely registered on the radar...Forgot that Porter was still a baller after his time in Portland.
I remember that playoff series where they were swept by Houston; I watched a ton of it. I recall an interview with Charles Barkley at the end of the series where he mentioned how impressed he was with the young talent in Garnett and Marbury, but said that they will be expected to be there every year after that and start winning some postseason games. I thought the KG/Marbury duo would be a star one for years to come, but alas, they would last just another season and a half together. That Wolves team made the playoffs for the first time that year -- Garnett/Marbury/Googs.... Timberwolves Marbury was so much fun to watch...

Yeah, I tried to pretend watching them was about wanting Charles to get a ring, but that baseline backdown was definitely less sexy than the Maloney three-ball...Your future ex husband Maloney was on that squad..

Probably around 2009 or so...I've never seen these before. When did they air? I had no cable, so I didn't watch ESPN.
You put this Derrick Coleman & Brad Daugherty on a Popovich Spurs team and they're a dynasty...
Coleman was excellent... Brad was just too much...
