I was thinking about some of the more recent Indians players (last 20-30 years) and who may be deserving of entering the team Hall of Fame. I'm curious to get everyone's thoughts in the polls. Awards/stats listed below are those earned in an Indians uniform.

Cody Allen – 8 seasons, 153 Saves;
All-time Franchise leader in Saves

Trevor Bauer – 6.5 seasons, 67-53, 3.89 ERA; 1-time All-Star; 12th all-time in franchise history strikeouts
All-time Franchise ranks Strikeouts (12th), WHIP (23rd), Wins (33rd)

Michael Brantley – 10 seasons, .295/.351/.430; 4-time All-Star, 1-time Silver Slugger
All-time Franchise ranks: Hits (19th), Steals (22nd), RBI (25th), HR (37th), Walks (37th)

Carlos Carrasco – 9 seasons, 88-73, 3.77 ERA; Roberto Clemente Award winner;
All-time Franchise ranks Strikeouts (4th), WHIP (10th), Wins (18th)

Travis Hafner – 10 seasons, .278/.382/.509;
All-time Franchise ranks: HR (9th), Walks (14th), RBI (15th)

Jason Kipnis – 9 seasons, .261/.333/.417; 2-time All-Star
All-time Franchise ranks: HR (18th), Steals (15th), Hits (22nd), RBI (24th), Walks (22nd)

Corey Kluber – 9 seasons, 98-58, 3.16 ERA; 3-time All-Star, 2-time Cy Young, Lou Gehrig Award winner;
All-time Franchise ranks Strikeouts (3rd), WHIP (2nd), Wins (15th)

Victor Martinez – 8 seasons, .297/.369/.463; 3-time All-Star, 1-time Silver Slugger
All-time Franchise ranks: HR (25th), RBI (28th), Hits (45th), Walks (39th)

Carlos Santana – 10 seasons, .251/.368/.450; 1-time All-Star, 1-time Silver Slugger
All-time Franchise ranks: Walks (2nd), HR (5th), RBI (14th), Hits (18th)

Grady Sizemore – 8 seasons, .269/.357/.473; 3-time All-Star, 1-time Silver Slugger, 2-time Gold Glove
All-time Franchise ranks: HR (14th), Steals (16th), Walks 25th), RBI (33rd), Hits (40th),

No chance Bauer gets in.

With the way he left, I doubt Brantley get the honor.

I think you leave VMart and Kipnis out. The rest are all good shots.

I think they're all deserving. Hafner was the only one I considered leaving off.

I actually think all of the names listed will be inducted besides Bauer. His resume here isn't deep enough compared to the others nominated in this poll.

I think the promise of what many of us thought/hoped Hafner was going to be gets in the Tribe HOF, but the actual player doesn't.

Hafner was never an all-star???

All of them deserve it in one way or another. I would say Indians hall of fame, probably in a sense, but none really get their jersey retired. Kluber maybe on the jersey retired.. Santana I wish stayed in Cleveland honestly in a lot of ways.

I vote against all of them in favor of the gangstas of the 1990s. Joey Belle would kick all their asses by himself.

It seems to me the Indians only retire a number if the player reaches the National Baseball HOF. Of the players who will be inducted into Cooperstown or have a good shot one day, I'm not sure where the Indians land with them.

CC Sabathia has a good shot to get in (eligible in 2025), but did he do enough here to retire #52?

Omar Vizquel seemed on his way to Cooperstown eventually with #13 retired, but the allegations against him might hurt both of those cases.

Kenny Lofton is eligible to be inducted in 2024 via the Today's Game committee and I could definitely see #7 being retired if so.

Terry Francona also has a good shot to be inducted once eligible, but I'm guessing he gets some other type of honor (statue?) instead of a retired number.

If Francona gets a freaking statue built of him, I'm going to barf blood.

Yeah a statue might not happen, but they'll do something in his honor. Best modern-day manager the Indians have had.
