Greggggg really went the way of the dinosaurs. Not sure how he stuck around after bountygate

When he was healthy, he was one of the best tacklers on our team. He certainly would be an upgrade over half the LB room as it stands currently.

Detroit is eating his money for a reason. He is about to turn 32 but aged in dog years since he left the Browns.

I will always respect him as a player, but unless he comes with the fountain of youth, i think his NFL days are behind him.

You must've watched a different Jamie Collins than I did. He was the definition of lazy when he played here. Anyone further than an arm's reach away was guaranteed to garner zero effort from Collins.

Collins has a long history of dogging it for every coach not named Bill Belichick.

He has also been just dreadful in coverage the first two weeks for Detroit. You'd have to be absolutely certain that his issues are "I'm on a bad team and not trying hard" and not "I'm washed up" if you were going to make that sort of move.

I'd stay away.

He wasn't even that good in his 2nd stint in NE.

And with that half-assed effort, he led our team in tackles his last year as a Brown.

All I said was that he is probably better than half the LBs we currently have on our roster. I didn't say adding him would change the face of our defense.

When he plays with effort, he's still an above average LB.

Yeah, he just hasn't seemed nearly as good since leaving the Browns.

I will say that a player with effort question marks seems like the last thing this current Browns organization is interested in bringing in, so I doubt he's even on the radar.

I think our fanbase still has this "players from other teams are better" mentality. And we glorify dudes who are merely decent that once played for us, because compared to the surrounding trash we had on our team they were like gods.

I'd stay away from Collins. I don't think he's a good fit for this team on the field or even in the locker room. We can roll with what we have until Walker comes back.

I mean if we are going to kick the tires on Reuben Foster, why not give Jamie Collins a shot? I mean, if he is shot, it should be an easy decision to not sign him.
