Cleveland Browns 2021 Regular Season: RIP

Do Not Sell My Personal Information

I have a feeling we will see Higgins more as the possession receiver opposite OBJ, unless DPJ has Baker and Stefanski's trust. We will see, but last time we saw OBJ and Baker play, Baker was just figuring out this offense and was a 60% completion QB, now i think the 80% is a bit of a mirage, but i am guessing he ends the season around 70%. This will be a whole new dynamic.

I hope Beckham plays and I hope there's no nonsense around him playing.

No stupid uniform violations, no taking his shoes off in the middle of the fourth quarter while he's getting into it with fans, etc. Just go out and play.

(faster than most)
Everyone keeps saying this but does anyone have any data on it? I feel like players rarely don’t start the next season game 1 after an ACL tear but everyone is talking like Odell is a hero for even being on track to play at all this year

There are layers to the OBJ reaction.

Clearly, some people do not like OBJ's self promotion. I think you have to separate the player from the publicity machine. The dude gets paid by Nike. He's going to have hype videos like a basketball player. But, that's not how Browns players have ever been marketed, especially players who have done more in a Browns uniform, and it rubs some people the wrong way.

I feel excitement is warranted because the Browns are legitimately shallow at receiver without him. DPJ has had issues separating from defenders. Schwartz is out there running the wrong routes.

Say what you want about OBJ's contract, but without Landry he is very much needed... even if he isn't 100% yet.

I think it only rubs people the wrong way because he has not performed up to expectations. If he was still a top 10 WR, then we would be all good with how he promotes himself. If he gets back to top 10 WR form this year, nobody will care about this hype video or any future hype videos.

ETA: I personally don't care how he promotes himself off the field. It's the production on the field that I care about.

I played little league with a Spitzer. They didn’t even sponsor the team.

I played little league with a swallower.....wait maybe we are not talking about the same thing.
