Cleveland Browns 2021 Regular Season: RIP

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Would you rather take it slow with Beckham and ramp him up as the season progresses, or do you "need" him out there right now?

I'm inclined to believe his health and progression can come along slowly at the expense of his fantasy owners, in the hopes that he's 100% and functioning at a high level within the offense as the season gets down the road.

That is putting the team ahead of his individual numbers, but that is the smartest and most risk-free way of getting him back into the mix.

We also haven’t heard anything about a setback.

Last Sunday before the official scrub, some of the 92.3 the fan guys were saying that OBJ didn't look right during pregame warmups. They thought he might have had a setback as he ramped up his workout routine. That's kind of hearsay though.

He’s essentially going to play the role Schwartz did. Why force it if we truthfully don’t need to?

I recall hearing about Beckham having a fast recovery time on an injury. Idk if it was from last year with how fast he recovered from surgery or if it was from his soft tissue injury last year.. idk. But he participates in practice and pre-season like 9 months after an ACL tear.. thats pretty impressive. I dont think we have to worry about his timeline for return

I agree here. I really just hope that the fan base doesn't use this as another reason to criticize him. We really have to be better than going against our own guys. Odell has enough of a target from the national media, without his own fans also throwing more wood on the fire.

I cant wait to see what he does in our new and improved offense. In a lot of ways, he's almost a completely new addition for this team.

I think Mary Kay is missing the real story, all three of our tackles did not practice. I knew about Wills, but Hubbard and Conklin added to the list is huge.

Unless it says “out” in the status column, i would not worry. We are at the front of analytics on so many aspects of management/personnel/strategy and importantly — practice/injury prevention. I think 95% of those palyers are good to go on Sunday.

Stefanski indicated the days off for both Conklin and Tretter were more precautionary than anything.
...
If Wills (ankle) and Hubbard (tricep) can’t play, the Browns can possibly move Conklin to left tackle and insert rookie James Hudson, their fourth-round pick out of Cincinnati, on the right side. They likely have other contingency plans as well.
...
Stefanski said Delpit, who was inactive for the Chiefs game, has a chance to face the 1-0 Texans on Sunday.
...
Newsome (biceps injury), Schwartz (knee) and Wilson (quad) were all limited in practice.
