He was under contract for less than twenty million when we cut him and he couldn't find anyone to trade for him at that price.

That now how it works. And at what point in the timeline you’re on matters.

Landry, like every decent or better WR began his FA period hoping to make a ton.

But the money dries up and you deal with the reality of the market.

I doubt the Browns offered him more than 6M for one year.

And even if they did offer 6-8M for one year, put yourself in his mindset. Are you going to choose similar offers from the team in a location you grew up in and have early life connections to or roughly the same amount from the team who just cut you, resulting in you making 6M in 2022 instead of 16M

I did not realize the vet min was so low in the NFL.

I could care less that Landry left. It was obvious his time here was over and that decision was decided by Berry and Kevin.
