Cleveland Browns 2022 Regular Season

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
*FLAME SUIT ON*

Or the woman I know who complains about how hard life is because she's a single mom. She has no kids, she has a dog. Or the dogs that people bring into every restaurant, bar, methadone clinic, or operating room. I love dogs, they're great, but having SOME boundaries with animals who like their assholes before licking your hang at the restaurant doesn't seem like too much to ask in a semi-civilized society.
I prefer this post with this amazing sentence than with any potential corrections. Far more colorful.

I do like when typos improve a post.

I like my asshole plenty, but I do not lick it. I leave that to all your moms.

Either Brissett is substantially better than Baker, Cooper is substantially better than OBJ/Landry, or honestly just both

Great team win. Never underestimate beating divisional rivals. Chubb for my money is the best RB in the NFL and after an awful first game Brissett has been absolute money. But like… this offense is also a QB’s dream with how amazing the line and RBs are. Baker just made it a nightmare last year

I think Baker was a terrible fit for Stefanski. Stefanski likes guys who can keep the train on the tracks and that simply isn't Baker. Sure, Baker might scramble around sometimes and make a big play, but 80% of the game, he won't execute it exactly the way you want it.

Whereas Brissett is in the NFL because he's a big, physical, and knows how to run an offense. Similar to when Stefanski had Keenum as his QB, but I do think Brissett was better than as advertised on here. He's good enough to make the offense work.

Cooper has always been awesome, just got overshadowed by Lamb in Dallas, for whatever reason. He's fair and away better than Landry, but probably about on par with 2019 OBJ.

Brisset is far more predictable and plays within the system, which makes it significantly easier to call plays and for other players to know where they need to be. He’s also way better with ball security and for his career has been significantly better at not turning the ball over.

Chubb, Hunt, and our OL are our best weapons. In most cases, the only way to actually take them out of the game is turnovers or negative passing plays, including sacks.

The biggest difference to me is decisiveness. More often than not, Brisset knows where he’s going with the ball, makes a read, and let’s it fly. He has a good arm, but he doesn’t have an absolute rocket like a Mahomes so he knows he needs to be decisive because passing windows are only open for so long. Baker relies too much on arm strength, especially when he’s very indecisive with the ball. He thinks he can use his arm to get him out of jams which only works for a select few QB’s. He wants to be the gunslinger QB, but he generally doesn’t have the tools needed to be successful as that type of guy.

It might be time to stop talking about fit with Baker and just acknowledge he’s a bust.

Jacoby Brissett's 29 years old. This is his 7th NFL season. It's not like he magically improved as a player.

He's working in the best scheme he's ever been in, with the best play caller, best group of running backs and best overall offensive line he's ever had.

He's a steady, safe, unspectacular QB who is taking full advantage of a great situation around him like a capable veteran QB should.

I'm thrilled he's here.

To put it another way...

Brissett is a tremendous person and beloved in the locker room, but this year so far feels like it might be his "Case Keenum in 2017 with Vikings" year where he plays way beyond anything else he's shown in his career.

I want the guy to get paid as much as he possibly can, but if I was running an NFL team there's no possible way I'd sign him to be a starter knowing he won't be bringing Stefanski's play calling, Chubb's running and the Browns overall blocking schemes with him.

2017 Keenum tracks. Also same year Foles.

I love the way they're using Cooper and Njoku in the redzone. Line Cooper up in the slot and win the route running battle; line Njoku up in the slot/out wide as #1 and let him body smaller corners. When Watson gets back, his mobility and accuracy is going to make the redzone offense impossible to defend.

the only thing that sucks now is that the Browns should be 3-0, if not for some defensive and special teams asseating.

I'm cool with the Jacoby Ether campaign though. It took him 1 week to get on the same page with Cooper. 2 weeks to start really embarrasing opposing defenses. What happens at Week 10?

Now think of how it'd look with an All-Pro QB.

With all due respect to Derek Carr and Dak, Watson and Stefanski are going to take Cooper so far to the next level that people are going to want Jerruh's head on a platter for that trade.

I'm envisioning Rodgers to Adams type destruction.

Brissett is playing for 6 more years of backup qb money while holding a clipboard 15 games a year and playing 2.

100% agree, except he was too young in NE, but he learned allot. He has gotten better over the years and is an extremly average at best qb. But he plays safe, is smart, tough, and knows how to read a defense.

Get the defense healthy with the long time between games, letBrissett suprise with his averageness, lol
