I doubt it's covid because of the incubation period. Most people experience symptoms/illness 5 days after contracting it. Some experience it as early as 2 days after contracting it. He'd have tested positive before getting any symptoms, so it's probably just a cold. Organization definitely needs to follow covid protocols no matter what, though. Subsequent tests will be negative and he'll be good to go for the game.

I'm not entirely familiar - are they doing daily testing of players and personnel, regardless of symptoms?

Andrew Thomas... bad o-line leaving him on an island, bad coaching, wrong scheme... anyone follow the Giants close? What's going on with him?

Sounds like Pro edge rushers have been killing him by faking outside and spinning inside.

According to PFF, Thomas has allowed 28 total pressures from the left tackle position, including a season-high nine last week against the Dallas Cowboys. And Through five weeks, Thomas leads all offensive tackles with 28 pressures.
...
"Yeah, what he's doing is snapping out of his stance and he's kind of overshooting his target," Colombo explained. "And what's happening is when you put that on film, you're going to get a heavy dose of it and they're going to change it up. They're going fake up field and come back underneath."
...
Colombo believes that Thomas ha the feet to handle speed rushers, but notes that the inside move defensive players use is "the Cardinal sin" for an offensive lineman to lose. "That's something I gotta do a better job, coaching him on, on what keys to look for when the guy's going to come inside," Colombo said.
