Cleveland Browns 2020 Regular Season: What a Ride!

Regardless, I have an issue with the three boneheaded plays by OBJ. The critical dropped pass, the facemask, and the failure to reestablish himself in bounds. There is no way a starting WR -- mush less an alleged star/superstar -- should have that many bad plays in a single game. QB's are not always going to be perfectly on target, and they're not always going to make the right reads. But when they do, WR's have to make those plays. "Talent" doesn't matter if the execution is that poor.

And I know Baker didn't play well. But he's playing a position that's the hardest in the league to learn, he's had the whole 4 different coaches and 3 different coordinators in 3 years thing, plus the reworked footwork in a Covid-shortened offseason. Being a QB is complicated.

I just don't see any equivalent potential excuse for OBJ's errors. Those are all simply matters of pure execution, and he's more than experienced enough for them to have been routine plays to do correctly.

I agree, also all three plays would have resulted in first downs and drives staying alive. When you have a QB who is struggling you need the "star" wr & rb to pick him up. I think OBJ dropped the ball this week. When you compare this to the Raven, it seemed like all of their skill players steped up and helped Lamar look better then he played, they had a lot of great catches.

With all this said, I don't think we could have won, but we could have made it competitive and put pressure on the Raven. They got to play free and easy all day because we could not keep drives alive. If we finish that last driver before the half with a TD, it is 17-13 at half time, and I would have felt a lot better about the game, plus it puts pressure on the Ravens to come out in the 3rd Q. We are not a good enough team to make this many mistakes against one of the best teams in the league and expect to be competitive.

I would rather Baker tank us to our next QB. Lawrence, Fields, Lance. I don’t give a damn!

im not a cap expert but i imagine it would be an absolutely massive cap hit to trade him. Coupled with the fact that he has now grossly under performed the last 17 games the trying to trade him for anythign more than a 7th rounder would be impossible

According to Sportrac there would be no cap hit to the Browns even if he's only traded for draft picks. The Giants signed his current contract and took the $40 million dead cap hit when he was dealt to us.

Dude's clueless. When he's bouncing from team to team and eventually out of the league we'll have to read his IG posts about how he was done wrong.

What about the catch Andrews made for Lamar in the endzone? Sometimes you have to make a play for your QB.
