People counting these “should wins” or “guaranteed wins” for teams, Browns or otherwise is absurd.
Doesn’t work that way in the NFL. Myles just went down, presumably ending the Browns season according to apparently half of you.
Meanwhile, weather has impacted game outcomes tremendously and will for other teams. Other teams will start to experience key injuries as well. And sometimes good teams just lose to average/bad ones.
Every year, good teams go on bad streaks and supposed bad teams go on good streaks. Maybe one or multiple of those scenarios plus injuries and weather benefit the Browns.
Sports reminds me of investing/stock market — there are ups and downs — you cannot stop it, it WILL happen. One common piece of advice is to not invest A. If you do not have the “liquid” assests and B. If you get overly emotional about ups and downs/impatient.
My point is — do you see the correlation with sports? Some teams suck, some teams are good, aome get hot and some get cold. This WILL happen and you cannot stop it.
What i am trying to say is, if you get overly emotional about sports, maybe it would be healthier to not watch. Like, if “your” team loses and you get drunk amd beat your wife and kids or it downright ruins your day or week — that might be a major concern.
Yep. Agree 100%.
People’s responses to sports are generally reflective of their personalities and whatever’s going on in their personal lives.
I will say that regardless of what’s going on in mine I still enjoy sports and this is the third year in the history of the Browns I’ve “invested” in them at the beginning of a season.
The first was ‘08 after they won some games with DA. Bad investment. Should have been predictable.
The last two have been these last two years. Last year ALSO should have been predictable with Freddie at the helm and Baker out of shape.
This year, Stefanski alone gave me confidence because I wanted him as the coach and I felt confident that he’d get the most out of the talent and at minimum we’d have a squad that was fun to watch even if they didn’t make the playoffs THIS year. I expected 10 wins and a good offense and they’re on track for that. That’s a team worth watching every week.
If I have that available on Sundays I’ll watch at minimum 8-10 games. I think that’s fair to expect from both the Browns and any fan in return.
You can call someone like me a fairweather fan but the Haslams have burned their fans and deserve no better.
Understand this — i did my time — literally, after a Romeo Crennel coached game, I was arrested for (allegedly) felonious assault/sexual assault with a Pringles can and served 4 years in Rikers Island.
Now, it was not easy — i learned to control my rage. But, the rage was not helped due to the copious amounts of warm Steel Reserve and Parrot Bay Rum. Prison and AA have impacted my life in such a positive way, it is really difficult to put into words.
The program works — if, you work it.

Self- reporting is important.
How is your asshole healing up and how did they remove the can?
Good ole RCF with the doom and gloom over one guy (can argue he’s 2).
With that said, our BEST player is Chubb. We need to just run all over these guys and out score them. Then we have Jax next week and do the same thing. Run and out score.
Then Myles will be back for the stretch run.
Not worried about not having Myles the next 2 weeks. We aren’t playing Pittsburg or Baltimore.
Meh. What happened 25, 20, 15, 10 and 5 years ago has nothing to do with this year. I’d make the argument that what happened 2 years ago doesn’t matter.Yeah I can't fathom why fans of this team lack optimism after the past 25 years or so
Myles is more important to this team winning games than Chubb. If only because the drop-off from Chubb to Hunt isn’t as bad as from Myles to Porter Gustin.Good ole RCF with the doom and gloom over one guy (can argue he’s 2).

We’re a better team than we have been in decades. One player won’t make us or kill us anymore.
