Cleveland Cavaliers Free Throw Shooting Watch

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Our ft shooting is the worst. There is no excuse for our ft shooting to be so poor. I've never seen it this bad, ever. The only players that I trust is Garland and Love. Everybody else I know will absolutely miss 1 or both. I feel like this isn't being emphasized and that's all on JBB. I never see anybody shooting fts before and after games.
Please.
We are a middle of the pack free throw shooting team even with last night's debacle. We've been much worse. In Lebron's first run we had him, Drew Gooden and even for a time Ben Wallace breaking rims throughout the land to the tune of 3rd worst in the league. Even last year we were worse than we are now. We all know this team lacks shooting so it's really no surprise that we struggle a bit from the line.

If Mobley, Allen, and Cedi keep shooting in the 60's they're going to get fouled a lot.
I'm not concerned about Mobley and JA. They are skilled bigs and will figure it out.

Cedi is a wing that looked like the second coming of prime Kyle Korver to start the season. I have no idea what is going on there.

He was missing free throws even when he was red hot from the perimeter. That's so weird.

I am pretty sure the team was in the top 5 in free throw shooting at least through mid December so they are probably a lot worse than 20th over the last month or so.

One player I remember growing up who was a 3pt threat but unreliable from the charity stripe is Nick Anderson of the Magic. A lot of it was mental from his infamous meltdown at the line vs the Rockets in the Finals in 1995, but even before that, he struggled to shoot 70%.

The only thing I can figure about Cedi is that he hasn't been right since missing a stretch of games due to covid protocols. Before that he missed some games due to back problems. Before that he was doing better than we have come to expect. Can he get back to performing more like he did in November? Hopefully, with a streaky guy like Osman it's hard to guess. But we really need the November version of this guy right now.

IBWT mentioned this, but Rubio was hitting Cedi in his preferred spots during that hot streak. Now with Rubio gone, nobody is doing that.

Yeah, he's right. I distinctly remember Cedi getting lots of 3s on Korver style screens. He's not getting those at all anymore. He's forcing 3s now instead of getting set up, and as we all know, Cedi has never been a guy to completely create his own shot.

The Cavs are in a dark place right now. Garland has struggled since the Warriors back injury game shooting. It's hurting his advanced stats. Allen inconsistent. Cedi, Love and Okoro messes since the Covid return for 2/3 of them. Mark finally seemed to get hot........then he got a boo boo. Rondo replacing Rubio?? Gets hurt.

It's going to be a long 3+ weeks to the all star break.

Working on Free throws is for nerds. Cavs too busy working on dunks to score the chicks.

Talking about free throws ad nauseous is for uber nerds. There’s really nothing discuss, other than “it’s better to make free throws than miss them.” Yeah no shit.

That doesn't make me feel better.
