The Cleveland Cavaliers have limited assets. That being said, they should enter the market for some of the stars that could be available via trade.

Trade #1: Cleveland Cavaliers - Minnesota Timberwolves

Cleveland trades: Jordan Clarkson | George Hill | Kyle Korver

Minnesota trades: Jimmy Butler | Gorgui Dieng | Justin Patton

Why for Cleveland? The trade is centered around acquiring Jimmy Butler & his bird rights, making it likely he'll consider rejoining the team next season. They achieve that in this trade along with absorbing Gorgui Dieng's horrible contract. Justin Patton is a prospect Cleveland could use in the future.

Why for Minnesota? Jimmy Butler is unhappy in Minny and expires at the end of the season. The Wolves acquire a combo guard who can score in bunches in Jordan Clarkson, George Hill, who isn't guaranteed for next season & one of the best shooters in the league in Kyle Korver, who has a decent contract.

Trade #2: Cleveland Cavaliers - Boston Celtics

Cleveland trades: Collin Sexton | Tristan Thompson

Boston trades: Kyrie Irving | Semi Ojeleye

Why for Cleveland? Acquire a familiar face in Kyrie Irving along with his bird rights, making them a legitimate contender to retain him long term. Semi Ojeleye is added for salary purposes.

Why for Boston? They get a solid prospect in Collin Sexton instead of potentially losing Kyrie in free agency. Tristan Thompson is a well rounded big, added to make salaries match.

Trade #3: Cleveland Cavaliers - Golden State Warriors

Cleveland trades: Ante Zizic

Golden State trades: Quinn Cook

Why for Cleveland? Acquire a decent back-up point guard.

Why for Golden State? Add a solid big man to their bench.

These trades are made with the idea that they want to play together and would likely stick in Cleveland. By acquiring their bird rights, Cleveland can offer them both the full max. Please correct me if I'm wrong. This, assuming the opposing team accepts the offers.

After these trades, the Cavaliers line-up would look like this:

PG: Kyrie Irving | Quinn Cook
SG: Jimmy Butler | J.R. Smith
SF: Rodney Hood | Sam Dekker | Cedi Osman
PF: Kevin Love | Semi Ojeleye | Larry Nance Jr.
C: Gorgui Dieng | Justin Patton
Coach: Larry Drew

There is no way on God's green earth that Boston would trade Kyrie for Collin Sexton and Thompson's useless ass. None. Nada.

The worst part though is that you've got Hood/Dekker over Osman on the depth chart and Ojeleye over Nance.

Sheesh.

Shut the fuck up
