Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Yeah that’s great, Paul. What makes the fan experience even more compelling than that is actually obtaining some talented ball players to watch…

Compelling fan experience… Clown!

Though i love how the Cleveland Baseball franchise is number 2 in overall wins in the last decade lol

Problem is with baseball the best team doesn't always win and honestly on paper the best team usually doesn't win the world series...

The best team in a series always wins the series. That’s one of baseball’s attributes…well any games attributes. You’ve got to “show-up” everyday.

Well unless we’re talking college football:)

You're trolling, right?

Well I think, sort of... He is saying the best team always win since they win lol on paper they aren't always the best team, but they were the best team in that series...

In any other statistical analysis we would all agree that seven games is a very short time period, analytically speaking.

A single pitcher can readily swing two games of a series, timed with some lucky home runs from unforseen bats and the underdog prevails handily. The best teams do not always win.

No. Reread the sentence: it’s qualified. The
“best team” is the one that comes together on any given day or series and gets the job done.

Just because our expectations are upset doesn’t mean we should rationalize away that reality.

The “best team” always wins.

Dear God do we need this lockout to end.

Miss Grundy says the "best team" can't win the series; only the "better team" does that.

So when the 50 win Orioles take game one of a three game series from the Yankees, they're the better team? Then when the Yankees win the other two, what does that mean about the result of the first game? If the Orioles win all three, they're better just because they ended up winning? That viewpoint is kind of...... simple.

The fact that this conversation is being had in the context of baseball, the quintessential luck sport, is amazing.
