The reps at Nike seeing this guy rock a majestic A’s jersey have to be ready to file a lawsuit
Sorry but you guys have evidently never watched him play. Watch him in 2022 and form your own opinions instead of dismissing mine outright.
Hey, I admit to being old school. In football, I prefer guys who score TDs act like they’ve done it before instead of playing juvenile games in the end zone. But that’s me and I readily admit that younger people enjoy the over the top celebrations. To each his own. BTW, I too wish the Guardians had players like Franco.
I'd certainly prefer a team full of JRams, Klubers, Biebers, Omars, Thomes, Thorntons, Kips, Cookies, Sandys...on the field class acts who comport themselves with grace...but I'm not a 20 something.
Growing up in the 50s and 60s, its hard to describe how reviled Ali was when he first came up and beat Liston...and proclaimed himself The Greatest.
And danced, and mugged, and refused to show any deference to anybody in boxing. Now he is universally beloved.
Times change. They always have, and they always will.
You nailed it with "vocal minority". The old adage that the squeaky wheel gets the grease seems appropriate here. It’s exhausting, man. So much bitching and moaning about the team shop, crooked signs, social media activity from the team’s accounts, etc. It appears that the organization simply can’t do anything right among a vocal minority in the fanbase.
Depth lefties with options are the hottest commodity in baseball. Shouldn’t surprise anyone those 2 got grabbed.
