Who is going to be watching this today? For those that don't know, over a span of 25 hours, 21 college basketball games will be played.

I figured that I'd create a discussion where people can talk about the games that will be going on today.

Here is a preview of the games today

The Kent State vs W. Virginia game is about to finish. West Virginia looked pretty terrible and is about to lose

I've been watching. Watch Gonzaga last night and the end of the Kent State game today. Perfect day to have off. Just waiting for OSU to play tonight.

Exactly.

But just so this doesn't go off topic, there is already an OSU vs Florida game thread under the OSU Basketball section Doug made.

Games I will try and catch/excited for:

SDSU vs 12. Baylor - Baylor of course has talent and SDSU had a good season last year. Baylor doesn't have Perry Jones this afternoon though, so maybe SDSU can pull off an upset.

6. Duke vs MSU - Don't really need to explain this one, going to be a good game if MSU can keep up the intensity.

2. Kentucky vs 11. Kansas - A lot of talented players and hopefully Kansas can pull an upset here for OSU.

Austin Peay vs 22. California - Will watch this after the UK/KU game, could be an upset.

Belmont (May start off 0-2, but gave Duke a run for their money in the 1pt. loss and now giving Memphis a run for theirs)
Creighton
Akron
Cleveland State (if they count)

My lower-lower teams:

Iona
Coastal Carolina

I came on to say nearly the exact same thing about Belmont haha If Belmont makes it to the big dance; I can almost guarantee that they are going to surprise whoever they play in the first round.

Watch out for Drexel University (*cough* my current school *cough*). They are the favorite to win the CAA (same conference as VCU, George Mason, and Old Dominion) and could surprise a lot of people.

From ESPN Insider:
Please stop sending the emails about Gonzaga, New Mexico, Xavier or even BYU. The Mountain West, the top of the Atlantic 10 and the Zags, as well as their newfound WCC brethren, are not mid-majors anymore. They are perennial powers capable of making deep tournament runs in almost every season.

Now that we have that out of the way, here are five truly underrated mid-majors that could be real troublemakers come March:

Drexel Dragons

George Mason, Old Dominion and VCU have all demonstrated that CAA teams are capable of deep tourney runs, and Drexel could be next.

The Dragons won eight of their last 11 games last season, and they return top scorers Chris Fouch and Samme Givens. Fouch is an excellent 3-point shooter, but he has had some injury problems in the past and is still recovering from offseason knee surgery. Givens shot just 52.9 percent from the stripe last season, and that's worth monitoring as this season progresses. Frantz Massenat is the key at the point. He had a solid yet unspectacular first season in college, but he needs to be more assertive on offense.

First few rounds. . .

Edit: By the way, they ended up losing to Memphis by 16. But they played both away games and when they get in their groove they will be dangerous.

Still would rather have CSU go farther. Akron, etc..
