Seems to be regressing a bit in his passing after the 9 assists the other day. Missing far too many players open on the wings. But knowing him he will bounce back and improve.

We have been in love with the idea of sexton as a facilitator. Given he has improved leaps and bounds as a scorer, having that 'feel' is difficult to develop. It's either you have it or not. Sexton can definitely improve his shooting, ball handling, defense and offensive repertoire but I cant see him having that 'it'. It's not Sexton's fault, it's just his nature: he is a balls to wall kind of player that it would go against his very nature to 'dance' and control the defense/pace. I would love to eat crow, but it would be impossible for sexton to be THE point guard for a playoff bound cavs.

The cavs have to make a decision sooner: make sexton a focal point on offense and get a big playmaker or trade him for assets that would make a more balanced roster (DG as point guard, okoro as a 3&d wing)

This would be the 86th time someone has doubted a basic skill of his on here.

Good luck

There's a difference though in being a creator/facilitator versus just making the right pass. I don't know that he will even be a creator/facilitator at a high level, like you said that's more of an innate trait, but anecdotally it seems like he is making progress at making the right pass - dumpoffs to bigs, lobs to bigs. Still has work to do because he gets stuck at times but he's finding that pass when it is there, and he didn't do that as much last year.

He had 2 assists in the Boston and 6 assists last night. Outside of the Boston game, his assists numbers been going up since picking up Jarrett Allen.

Lakers are good at sticking to the game plan. They went under and packed the paint. If Collin wanted to do better he should have pulled up from 3 a few times like against the nets. Garland too. They had enough space. He did it against AD, and then didn't try it anymore.

That, as in finding the big man on pick and rolls he is doing very well and Is a big improvement. The next step is to find our guys on the wing. I have faith he will though :)

I would rather see him playing minutes that has Windler on the wing and Allen in the paint then the one with Cedi and Drummond.
Maybe after the trade deadline Allen is the starter or Okoro starts attacking the rim more and Cedi stops playing hero ball
