Been my complaint about the board for a season.

Garland made 3 straight bad plays that effectively ended the game.

If that had been Sextons last two minutes this thread would be on fire demanding a trade.

Garlands thread still doesn't have a post in it though since Monday.

They went up big when he missed 3 3s resulting in 3 3's too. That and Markannen getting blocked on layups multiple times.

Darius almost brought them back from a deficit he created

Rich is being obtuse to make his point about inactivity in the Garland thread.

I guarantee you he sees the substantive criticism of DG in both last night's game thread and in the Studio. :chuckle:

He's a lovable grumpy guy

I was pretty mad at DG in the early goings but thanks to my narcolepsy, I missed almost the entire 2nd half

Read the game thread and studio discussion. When he finally showed up and took over for a stint, you would have blew a gasket :chuckle:

I see there might be reason for me to pay more attention to him this year. But until there is a competent wing starting *NOT THE FUCKING FINN*, I don't want to look at any other player other than Mobley.

I thought yesterday was a good game for Sexton! He’s finally able to play to his strengths being surrounded by creators.

Everything he did came within the flow of the offense.

He will inevitably get more looks in the games when some of the easy looks we generated yesterday get taken away.

Just my general view of the Garland-Sexton situation here: Sexton does some good things and some bad things and most people focus on the bad things; Garland does some good things and some bad things and most people focus on the good things.
One of them is a year older and has had another year in the NBA. It makes some sense that people are less forgiving of the bad things in year four than year three.

yeah.. accurate. I think it's because I find Garland's bad moments to be typically done in effort of making the right play where as I find Sexton's bad moments to be in not recognizing the right play.
I still think Darius' biggest flaw comes from one of his stronger attributes (his court vision) in that he needs to always make the assist. Causes him to overdribble and get himself in trouble at times when he over-penetrates. While Collin's biggest flaw is his inability read the defense quick enough to make the right pass mostly dues to his pursuit of his own shot.
They are kind of the Yin/Yang of backcourts.

I am starting to wonder if Sexland may work out. Garland had a bad shooting night and Collin couldn't handle Morant, but that is not the norm generally. Sexland, the Towers. Just need a wing that can play D and shoot. So easy to find eh????
