That play where he backed up on Reddish and then gave him the Bullrush™️ was maybe one of the most disrespectful plays I’ve seen.
That's the funniest thing about Sexton. he also faked a Bullrush™ for a dish that went in last night. Sexton is putting that Stampede to good use now

The Nuggets were by far the worst rim protecting team in the NBA last year. Jokic is a great player but he can't get off the floor; defensively he's a taller Kevin Love. Nobody on their team averaged one block per game last year. Sexton should have a lot of success slashing to the rim tonight. After three games Collin is hitting 81% of his shots at the rim. This could be a good team for him to play against.

So far he's only hitting 29% of his 3's and 45% of his short mid-range shots so he's been getting by on layups. The Nuggets are not shot blockers so this looks like a good matchup for him.

Edit: After two games the Nuggets are last in the NBA in block percentage. The Cavs, despite all their height, are 18th.

The Hawks were determine to stop Collin Saturday.

I think there has been significant improvement in him dishing off the ball in a timely manner. There were more truly nice passes in that clip that he would have accumulated in three games last year.

This year Colin has largely abandoned his tear-drop and pull-up shots on drives. Instead he is passing-off to teammates. I'm sure that is by design as him and the Cavs are trying to work on the passing and assist part of his game.

I hope he doesn't totally abandon the tear-drops and pull-up mid range shots though since he converts them at a very high rate and it forces the helping centers and wings to jump outside opening the area around the basket.

But, I believe the Nuggets were one of the best teams in the league at keeping people out of the paint. You don't need rim protectors nearly as much if you don't let people get to the rim. It will be interesting to watch to see if we can get penetration and take advantage of their lack of shot blocking.

I love how he's passing once he penetrates into the paint. Other teams will need to respect that which will lead to more easy buckets. Once the Cavs get all their shooters back (Garland/Windler) it will open up more space too.

Collin seems to be on a mission this year..

People always counting him out.

If,his teammates can knock down shots,he can be a 20+ ppg & 5 assist guy this season...imo

I don't know how any one can root against this guy. Since he's come to Cleveland he's been the energizer bunny on turbo setting. He's got one speed and it's balls-out.

People underestimate him. He's as Cleveland as it comes. I mean that as a compliment.

Honestly, I am fascinated with how fast he can be. And now that he's making better passes and not just taking the pull up. He's ridiculously hard to guard.

If he learns the "change up" a little better too, he's going to have people falling over, not just trailing behind.

we have a fairly dynamic offense when at least 1 or 2 other people are hitting from far (Love/Garland/Mark, etc..)

something Mark Price had in spades and Garland does well is stop and start the pace. Collin would do well to pick that up for sure. Right now, he kind of winds up a bit into warp-speed.

Honestly, with how passive Garland is, I don't think I even want to slow Sexton down...but he would be better if he worked some change of pace moves.
