I doubt he will become a consistent shooter. Just gotta hope he becomes an exceptional slasher imo. This guy doesn't shoot, doesn't playmake and turns the ball over a lot. This was not a good pick man, fuck sakes. I hope I'm wrong.

So is he a PG or SG? He has the career ending "G" tweener status in the title.

He needs to fix his three point stroke, especially off the ball, and he plays the point a lot like Westbrook so he needs to learn more about the team game. His three off the dribble is decent for his age. Like I said, while he wasn't my favorite choice at #8, it would be unfair to say he isn't a point guard. He was a true lead guard for the USA Under 17 team that won gold and did a great job. Alabama didn't have much talent around him.

Look at their assist to turnover ratios. Sexton 3.6 assists/2.8 turnovers = 1.28. Young 8.7/5.2 = 1.67

so adjusted for their assists and passing Sexton turns it over more.

I understand and know that. My point was is he doesn't turn over over too much. Now, if you want to say he doesn't create enough for others (low assist numbers) then fine. For the amount he had the ball in his hands, he didn't really turn over too much, IMO.

They play different games. Sexton really had no one to pass to and Avery Johnson isn't known for drawing up good plays. I'm not saying he's a good passer but different situations.

What we need to remember is he's a 19 year old man who was SEC Freshman of the year who is lightning quick and wants to be the best. He's got the talent and tools and the work ethic to get it done. He is coachable and plays gritty and hates losing. That's better than half our current roster.

I haven't heard anyone compare him to John Wall but isn't his skill set similar?

Sexton will apparently wear number 2. Dude apparently has no fear considering the last number 2 in Cleveland despite being a beta bitch was pretty damned good for us.

I'm curious if anyone has an opinion on potentially pairing him with Hood (if resigned) to form our new backcourt?

If you read the article linked above your post his floor seems to be Bledsoe and ceiling Russell Westbrook which would be the steal of the draft.

You know what sucks? We don’t know how good this kid will be because Lue probably is gonna ruin him. Make a spot up shooter
