Lonzo is done. The hype is over. He's a rotational piece at best.

I don't think anyone is talking superstar hype. But he's actually done a very good job improving continuously at the weakest parts of his game. His shot form is much better, and he shot 38% from 3 last year on 6.5 attempts/game. That makes him something more than just a distributor on the offensive end. He's also a strong rebounder and defender at his position.

He's never going to be a dominating scorer, but his shot has become good enough to keep defenses honest. I agree with the guys who think he can be a good NBA starter starter. Also seems like a very high character guy.

I agree. Lonzo Ball will have a long productive career in the NBA. He can defend, he is a very good play maker, he can hit the 3 at the a reasonable rate to keep defenses honest. The only real issue is his 57% ft percentage.

The fact that Lonzo seems like a good level headed guy given all the stuff with his father is pretty amazing.

If available (which is very doubtful), he would be perfect fit for the Cavaliers. They can put him at point guard with Sexton at shooting guard and Porter and Garland off the bench until Cavs can decide between Sexton and Garland.

And that was 15% improvement from the year before. I suspect he's the type of guy who will work hard to resolve that glitch, and will be over 70% in 2-3 more years max.

Or he doesn't? And I don't really think it matters. He shot a total of 67 FT's this season and is barely over 1/game in his career.

To this point, he hasn't been on a team in the playoffs where that mattered. But once he is...hack a Shaq was bad enough. Being able to use that strategy on a team's primary ball handler is much worse.

Maybe if he stays under 50%, but I think it's like he's closer to 60% as he was last year.

1.14 ppp should be enough to stop teams from wanting to foul him.

It'd obviously be ideal if he improved to even the level he was in college. I'm just saying I don't think his current level will stop him from being a good player on good teams.

I agree. I'm just saying it is very likely that he improves at FT.

At 1 FT show per game, Lonzo might be trying to avoid being fouled. He probably needs to get to peak Rondo level (65%) to be effective in the playoffs.

That is an area Lamelo is significantly better than his bro. He attacks the basket and gets fouled. Better finishing and body control IMO. Lonzo can't finish almost at all. Him getting proficient at the 3 was almost necessary for Lonzo to stick in the league.

Back to Sexton (and apologies if this has already been discussed), but how many wings (including SFs for shits and giggles) picked #8 or later averaged 20+ PPG in their sophomore seasons with at least 47% FG? Can anyone find those names for me? I feel like it has to be a small/prestigious list.

Also was just looking at his stats and, although I knew he was coming on late in the season, I think I was really sleeping on him... ~21ppg, 3 and 3 on 47/38/84 shooting splits?! We should keep this guy, whether Garland has to be traded or not.

His final 2 months of the season he put up All star numbers

Trae Young and the Atlanta Hawks are overrated
they are definitely not that good defensively either in the back court. I am guessing Okoro and Vassell are their top targets in this draft.

They just drafted Reddish and Hunter. No way.

A wing is not going to help solve their poor pg defense and lack of rim protection.
